RR Email, Now Powered by Google.

Recently I took advantage of Google’s offering of cloud-hosted email for domain owners – we now offer free email accounts to members! It runs on their excellent Gmail service, so it’s a sure win.

The offer is limited to 50 300 accounts only though, so you gotta be quick. To sign up for the service, just post in this thread with the username that you want to use. I will PM you the details shortly after.

If you’ve already signed up, click here to log in.

Armored Core: For Answer 1.4 Regs Out!

Armored Core: for Answer regulation 1.4 has just been recently released for the PS3 while the Xbox 360 got its release a few weeks ago. Changes include a noticeable difference in quick boost handling of ACs, and various stat changes for AC parts and weapons.

Check out our AC:fA part discussion threads for various regulations in the Theory and Concept section of our forums.

BYOB = Build Your Own Burger!

Last March 21, 2009, RR had experienced probably its most awesome and grandiose event ever, the Build Your Own Burger event. The idea goes like this: 3 grills, 48 patties and buns, 8 sausages and buns, and an army of hungry guys bringing varieties of toppings ranging from veggies, spices, condiments, meats, and earnestly waiting to devour food.

RR Goes To Vigan!

OK, I believe this is the latest update I’ve ever done. Sorry folks.

Last January 9 to 11, a number of the ravens went up north to this idyllic little slice of history called Vigan. For those of you who don’t know about this place, it’s basically famous for it’s colonial Spanish era-style houses and cobblestone streets. It’s also been named as a World Heritage Site. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

I didn’t get to go to this one, which was a major bummer since the guys had a ton of fun. So you can join me in my misery as we read through an excerpt of Fox’s recounting of day two:

Sophie Emilia Gallery

So RR has its covergirl/mascot/muse or whatever you call her. Her name is Sophie Emilia. Here are a couple of colored works made by our resident artist/creator Trace-02.

Armored Core 3 Portable for the PSP

From Software, the creators of the Armored Core, recently announced their latest game in the franchise. Armored Core 3, which originally debut on the Playstation 2 back in 2002, is receiving a port to the PSP. Improvements include an increased aspect ratio from the original SDTV 4:3 to the PSP’s 16:9, an improved garage interface reminiscent of Armored Core: Last Raven, and 4-player wireless ad-hoc gameplay. The release date is set for July 30, 2009, according to their official website.

Kit Bashing Marathon at DT’s

Last December 27, some members got together and proceeded to Doom Trigger‘s abode for something different. Yes, there was still going to be AC, Tekken and good food, the staples of an RR meet, but this time, kit-building was to included into the mix.

Now I don’t know if this is just laziness on my part, or the fact that I’m updating this at 12:30 in the morning, but I’ll say this: I didn’t get to go to this one, sadly, so you’ll have to go by this thread and ask around to find out what happened. In any case, picture time after the jump!

The Great Punking of 2008

Before last year closed out, we were able to organize two gatherings, one of which is the topic of this post.

This early Christmas party, held last November 29 at Leperman‘s house, was to be more of the same stuff that RR members have grown accustomed to: AC and Tekken, among other games, delicious food, and of course, each other’s sick/funny/retarded company. People signed up and confirmed, and it was destined to go down as another great congregation.

Little did I know it was going to be the most awesome one yet (for me at least).
