Late reply, but the thing was about a little more than half the size of the Ridiculous Burger. The beef patty was cooked really well though.

Fun relatively new food blog comparing foods as pictured in packaging and how they really look in actuality. Tongue
There was something like this posted back then, right? Only that it compares fastfood ads with real food the restaurant serves?
Manila Peninsula Hotel is offering their Halo-Halo, Pancit Luglog, and Schueblig for 33 pesos each only on September 14 for their 33th anniversary, from 12:01 am - 11:59 pm.

Quote:MANILA, Philippines – The Lobby of The Peninsula Manila turns 33 on Sept. 14, and the halo halo harana, pancit luglog and schueblig are at the center of its 33rd anniversary celebration. The grande dame of Makati is offering the three dishes at 1976 prices on Monday, Sept. 14, the date the hotel opened 33 years ago.

“The Lobby is known for its classics,” says the hotel food and beverage director, Laurent le Deu. “It’s what keeps our patrons coming back year after year. All three items are pure classics, they have been on our menu since day one.”

How much did the halo halo harana, pancit luglog and schueblig cost back in 1976? All three items were priced at P33 each in 1976. On Sept. 14, the yummy trio will be selling at The Lobby for only P33 each.

The Lobby 1976 Price Rollback promotion will be strictly on no-reservations and first-come/first-serve basis. Added conditions to the promotion: drinks and items not on the rollback list will be regularly priced; transactions will not accept marketing tie-up discounts, there will be no takeout; any of the three items must be ordered and consumed at The Lobby, and orders will not be shared. This will be a one-day only promotion only from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Whut, no tanks?
Palengke un, sure. Their regular customers probably won't even bother going.

Edit: Tanks for crowd control FTW
Tanks you Rick!
Not to sound like a know-it-all, but there were never any tanks deployed during the siege at Manila Pen. The armored gatecrashers which showed up were just APCs and Simba fighting vehicles. Our tanks in the army don't really function all that well anymore and are just being left to rot in the hangars.
Hahah yeah, I was referring to the APCs as tanks. "APC" just doesn't have the same impact as saying "tank". Tongue
Well, it's pretty common for any armored vehicle to be called a "tank" as a generalization. Why twist your tongue with two extra syllables when you can do it with one? Big grin

Back to the topic, the pancit and the sausage i could care less about but the halo--halo sounds pretty good.
