Now THAT’S a Kämpfer/Gouf!

Over at the forums, resident kit-basher Fox just directed us to a ridiculously good scratch-built original model that won the Hobby Japan: All Japan “Ora-Zaku” Championship 13th.

Named YAMS-130B Greifer, this fan-created mobile suit is a reimagining of the classic MS-18E Kämpfer (or MS-07 Gouf?) for the Unicorn Gundam timeline.

Armored Core Fan Stuff from Comiket 79

The devotion of AC fans knows no boundaries, and a group of hard-core enthusiasts decided to publish a series of fan magazines in the upcoming Comiket (Comic Market) 79 this coming December 29, 2010 in Japan. From what we gather, the contents will include original fan illustrations of Armored Core/s, and some articles that may interest fans. More images after the jump, along with their studio links:

Now THAT’S an Armored Core: Custom Lahire

Long time, no post, but this one piece is too good to pass up. Allegedly from the same creator of the Aaliyah Custom this really well painted Lahire kit has no special mods, gimicks or tricks, but it sure is pleasing to look at. With a blue, white, and gold paint scheme, the overall combination of colors plus the builder’s skill combine together for a fine finish.

Thanks J.E. for the heads up.

LAHIRE Gunmetal Version

An update to the already released LAHIRE model kit a few months back, the gun metal version of this kit will be making an appearance at a hobby center near you around January 2011. The new kit, besides offering a gunmetal paint scheme, will offer new parts such as a pile-bunker, a shotgun, and external boosters. Hit the jump for more pics of this upcoming kit:

Armored Core from Silent Line in LEGO!

To go with all the other LEGO ACs we’ve already featured, we now bring to you this super awesome LEGO rendition of the ridiculously overweight poster AC from Silent Line.

A Closer Look At The Upcoming 1/72 Oracle

Here are some pictures of the Armored Core: Last Raven version of Evangel’s Oracle, soon to be released by the end of December this year. Collectors should be happy to know that this kit will contain a new set of legs (DINGO2) and a core (C89E) never seen in any AC kit before it in addition to the GERYON2 back-mount.

Armored Core Papercraft

Here are a bunch of Armored Core papercraft models made by a person known as 東雲 遠音, who has painstakingly created three different Armored Core models out of paper. Papercraft or Paper Models for those who are new to the hobby, is the creation of 3D scale models using nothing but paper (or card paper for a little more stability in the finished product), glue, and a cutter. Hobbyists print out pre-set patterns of the models (sometimes of their own creation) and after hours of hard work, a 3D paper model of the figure emerges.

Time consuming and somewhat difficult to do, Papercrafting is a labor of love. As 東雲 遠音 shows, it is also rewarding as he has created the basic starter AC from Armored Core Nexus, a GA SUNSHINE AC, and a SOLDNER AC from Armored Core: For Answer. He also created an X-SOBRERO core, but the remaining parts might have been discontinued due to the flimsy frame.
