Battle Armor Division (B.A.D.)

Mecha Damashii recently covered the release of interestingly titled mecha side-scroller Battle Armor Division (B.A.D.) by Crian Soft. As you’ll see in the video below, the gameplay is very reminiscent of mecha classics such as Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator) and Metal Warriors.

Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor – Teaser Trailer

Just a few hours ago during Microsoft’s Tokyo Game Show, mecha fans were treated to a teaser for a new Steel Battalion game being developed by From Software, of Armored Core and Demon’s Souls fame, for Capcom. This new Steel Battalion game is set to take advantage of Microsoft’s Kinect technology instead of the 32-button controller that the original was famous for. But of course it’s still too early to tell how exactly the Kinect will be used to simulate piloting a giant robot.

Anyway, enjoy the trailer below and be hyped with the rest of us.

Nine-Ball Seraph in Another Century’s Episode R

It’s. About. Time. (Video after the jump)

Armored Core’s uber boss is finally making an appearance in Another Century’s Episode R, the latest incarnation of the long running ACE series which allows players to pilot their favorite anime mecha from various shows and blow stuff up. Finally, the chance that many AC power tripping fans have been hoping for is here without using some cheatcode to use him (We don’t really know if players can use him, but we’re assuming they can). From Software, who developed the same game, also inserted a Murakumo mech from the game with the same name in the first ACE title as well, so the tradition kinnda follows. Don’t have Weak Abs – Build an “Armored Core”

Not quite what mech gamers will expect. Despite the similar trademark names, Mike The Machine (Author of the video) will show you how to build your abdominal muscles through his “Armored Core” training program. The video demonstrates procedures on increasing your load capacity (400lb sit-ups), how to bulletproof your AC (Ab smashing with a bowling ball) and further enhancing the flexibility and endurance of your parts (various exercises) which will only strengthen your developed Armored Core.

Trademark similarities aside, Mike “The Machine” Bruce seems to be an accomplished athlete enough to create an exercise program that focuses on developing your muscles from your chest to your pelvis (I mean, just look at the dude). If you ever feel like getting ripped, and smashing rocks like blowing up MTs, just trust the “Armored Core” name to get the job done. You can order the totally non- Armored Core related exercise video here. View a short video from the DVD after the jump:

E3 Front Mission Evolved Multiplayer Gameplay

Here we see footage of a multiplayer demo of the upcoming mech shooter Front Mission Evolved coming from the recent E3 expo in the USA. Based on the trailer, we can definitely expect fast paced Wanzer gliding action, and a more arcade feel than an actual mech simulator. Of course, this is only a small preview of what to expect as Square Enix promises more in-depth tactical gameplay with the various Wanzer classes available to the player. Hit the jump for the video:

Front Mission Evolved – Prepare for Evolution Developer Trailer and More

Yes, there are boobies in the game.

Pretty much the trailer that will sum up everything that one could expect from Front Mission Evolved (and possibly more given the screenshot). The new trailer features new in-game footage, developer interviews, and a better overall idea on what the game feels like. This possibly shows and tells more about the game besides playing Front Mission Evolved itself. Hit the jump for the new trailer:

Transformers: War For Cybertron Preview Details

A lot of hype for the upcoming Transformers: War For Cybertron, and its probably well deserved. Tformers got an exclusive preview of the game and based on the report, Transformers: War For Cybertron is shaping up to be an awesome 3rd person mech combat experience. Central to the mechanics of the game is the 3 player co-op for missions, which will be available throughout the game with a join-in, join-out feature making the game essentially built for team gameplay.
