Blading in Armored Core V

Blades and giant robots always seem to go hand in hand (despite the probable impracticality), and Armored Core V is no exception in the hyperbolic treatment of this fan-favorite cliché.

Niji of ACU, who was fortunate enough to be included in the closed beta test, reports that the basic blade in ACV nearly one-shots most ACs and that the range and sweep is just as devastating.

Colorful Armored Core 5 Trailer. Not Quite As Destructive.

An explosive amount of color, love and friendship in this ACV video. As if Armored Core existed in the world of ponies, friendship, love, and tolerance. The magical barf before your eyes will definitely show the true colors of war that only Armored Core 5 can deliver.

AC fans, why do you do that?

Thanks NiX for showing what love and friendship in the battlefield can do.

Jetpacks in Armored Core V!

J.E_Magog at the forums brought to our attention a video from Gamescom 2011 featuring live Armored Core V team play.

In the video, the commander (with a cool accent) tries to lead the team through the familiar Armored Core destroy-all-targets mission spiced up with co-op action.

Armored Core V – Cinematic Exposé

J.E_Magog in the forums just made an exposé of FromSoft’s apparent liberal use of real-life references for the recently unveiled Armored Core V cinematic.

Armored Core V – Trailer / CG Opening Cinematic

FromSoft’s own YouTube channel just got updated with the full version of the Armored Core V teaser clip that was shown last June 1st. This video done in exceptionally realistic CG tells quite a bit about the game’s premise, such as the uncovering of ancient machines to be used in an ongoing war.

Uploaded a few days before the Armored Core V video are clips from the also highly anticipated (and equally amazing) FromSoft game Dark Souls. You can check all these out at the FromSoft channel.

Armored Core V – CG Opening Cinematic

Update: So apparently, the video above (which has been replaced with FromSoft’s own high-quality upload) is just a snippet of the actual opening cinematic for the game. The whole thing is scheduled for June 6th. The archived footage of the full broadcast, which mostly touches on the story and missions, has also been added below.

yatagami0 on YouTube swiftly uploaded Armored Core V’s CG opening cinematic right after the conclusion of fourth live demo, which is really great for those of us who missed it!

This latest Armored Core cinematic shows some staggering detail, which probably exceeds the standards set by all their previous efforts despite being a bit shorter in length. It’ll probably look even more amazing in HD.

Armored Core V – The LIVE for REBOOT – EXTENDED 2

Update: New video clips added!

Last night was yet another live demonstration for the upcoming Armored Core V. I hear that tanks and quads and anime decals were shown, though I actually haven’t watched it yet. But you can see for yourself in the recorded video below.

Update: The video finally introduces ACV Quads and Tanks. Get ready to see some semi-transforming “Siege Mode” and first-person view zooming for Quads, and a slug fest with some Tanks. Some decal editing was thrown in too, as you can see in the image above.

Armored Core: Limit Release Progress

This fine and dandy Armored Core modification for Unreal Tournament has been in development for a year now, and much progress has been made since its inception. You can get more info on this up-and-coming modification on Moodydata’s Moddb page for Armored Core: Limit Release. For this update, progress has been made with new animations which you can check out below.
