Seattle police say a group of self-described superheroes have been patrolling the streets at night trying to save people from crime. They call themselves the Rain City Superhero Movement and say they're part of a nationwide movement of real-life crime fighters.

In one instance, police say a caped crusader dressed in black was nearly shot when he came running out of a dark park. In another case, a witness on Capitol Hill saw the crusaders wearing ski masks in a car parked at a Shell station and thought they were going to rob the place.

Police got the license plate and found those masked characters drove a Kia Fate registered to one of the character's godmothers, department staff said. She told police her godson goes around doing good deeds.

The short explanation: Birds get spooked by fireworks, fly lower than usual at night , collide with tress and other obstacles due to poor light conditions and lack of stars for navigation, and die. Also, bird population in affected areas is over a million typically, so a couple of thousand deaths is not going to impact them.

Hahah wtf so what if PNoy wanted to buy a car. Taena lahat na lang pinapakialaman sa kanya. There are more important things to focus on. =/

Two details:

1. He traded in his older car to get that one.
2. As Fox already noted, it's a third-hand Porsche.
3. Porsches last for decades, unlike several of the POS vehicles I've seen that fall apart after barely ten years.

A bus exploded a while ago on Buendia Ave, northbound. I was Makati Avenue when the firetrucks and ambulances went flying past.
