A lot of hype for the upcoming Transformers: War For Cybertron, and its probably well deserved. Tformers got an exclusive preview of the game and based on the report, Transformers: War For Cybertron is shaping up to be an awesome 3rd person mech combat experience. Central to the mechanics of the game is the 3 player co-op for missions, which will be available throughout the game with a join-in, join-out feature making the game essentially built for team gameplay. More details and a gameplay trailer after the jump:
Each Autobot will have a specific class roles; Ratchet is a medic, Bumblebee is a sniper, Optimus Prime is a melee brawler just to give a few examples.
Each Autobot will have two kinds of abilities, a “cool-down” ability which grants unlimited usage and a resource based ability fueled by Energon crystals dropped by fallen foes, along with this there are various kinds of Energon: shards provide weapon power, cubes provide health, and unrefined Energon can kill.
Omega Supreme and Trypticon are in the game as boss units. For the sake of comparison, Megatron is only half the size of Omega Supreme’s foot.
There will be 2 completely distinct campaigns, one for the Autobots and the other for the Decepticons. Chronologically, the Autobot campaign comes after the Decepticon campaign. This is to ensure that both sides will be able to end their respective campaigns triumphantly, to please both Autobot and Decepticon fans.

The looks and feels like it can appeal to a broad range of gamers, and not just hard core Transformers fans. I mean, how can you not like this? For complete details read up on the complete preview in Tformers’ site.
