The dauntingly massive Arms Fort Spirit of Mother Will from Armored Core: for Answer comes to you as a (not-so-massive) scratch-built model from the same guy who brought to us the recently featured Phosphorus Armored Core.
FromSoft’s own YouTube channel just got updated with the full version of the Armored Core V teaser clip that was shown last June 1st. This video done in exceptionally realistic CG tells quite a bit about the game’s premise, such as the uncovering of ancient machines to be used in an ongoing war.
Uploaded a few days before the Armored Core V video are clips from the also highly anticipated (and equally amazing) FromSoft game Dark Souls. You can check all these out at the FromSoft channel.
The YouTube account CDCFL801 is totally packed with pain-staking stop-motion animations using various toys and figures such as Gundam and Busou Shinki. The webisodes are particularly noteworthy for excellent editing, super-smooth animation, and dynamic movement. What may be even more amazing is how his extensive collection survives such filming ordeals. Now if only we could understand the dialog…
Update: So apparently, the video above (which has been replaced with FromSoft’s own high-quality upload) is just a snippet of the actual opening cinematic for the game. The whole thing is scheduled for June 6th. The archived footage of the full broadcast, which mostly touches on the story and missions, has also been added below.
yatagami0 on YouTube swiftly uploaded Armored Core V’s CG opening cinematic right after the conclusion of fourth live demo, which is really great for those of us who missed it!
This latest Armored Core cinematic shows some staggering detail, which probably exceeds the standards set by all their previous efforts despite being a bit shorter in length. It’ll probably look even more amazing in HD.
The Armored Core official site has just been updated with the schedule of yet another tease-fest that is the Armored Core V – The LIVE for REBOOT. This fourth installment of their Armored Core V streaming demo series promises to feature the game’s whole CG intro cinematic. And based on all previous Armored Core CG openings (except maybe Project Phantasma, which was pretty bad), this should be epic as well.
Expect the stream to go up on June 2nd at 7:00 PM (Japan time) through their usual Famitsu and Ustream channels.
Resident ecchi artist and Hetalia fan Iraya-Sama is the newest addition to the Raven Republic blogging team. She’ll be in charge of shifting our attention away from giant robots every once in a while through the use of cutesy and oppai!
For her debut piece, she wanted to share a (NSFW!) photomontage of her progression as an artist all the way back from 2003 up to today.
Mecha Damashii recently covered the release of interestingly titled mecha side-scroller Battle Armor Division (B.A.D.) by Crian Soft. As you’ll see in the video below, the gameplay is very reminiscent of mecha classics such as Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator) and Metal Warriors.
