Supplice in LEGO Form

Yet again, another Armored Core in LEGO, likely from the same guy who made the Lego Cascade Range. Again found at the depths of Armored Core Wiki, we’re starting to think that if you’re baddass enough to make an AC out of LEGO, you are smart enough to outwit some internet stalkers. Armored Core Retribution Models

We reported a few weeks ago that Dengeki Online’s Armored Core Retribution’s ACs will be making an appearance in Last Raven Portable. So we dug up an old set of pictures on what these ACs look like in their original inception. Taken from Chara Hobby 2007 by Danny Choo, we hope you enjoy the pics of wonderful modeling. Armored Core Analogs: Bazookas

While rifles are fine and dandy if you value finesse, there comes a time that you just want a weapon that satisfies your inner barbarian’s urge to crush anything that moves. You, my friend, need a bazooka.

Yet More Front Mission Evolved Screens

Famitsu magazine’s website recently released new screen shots featuring in-game appearances of various Front Mission Evolved characters, along with some background info for each one. Take a good look at them now, for you’ll be seeing a lot of them one the game comes out on the PS3 and 360. View the gallery after the jump.

LEGO Cascade Range

It seems not only the V2 Gundam can be turned into a LEGO statue as Armored Core: Last Raven’s Cascade Range has returned, in LEGO form. These pictures are found in the depths of the Japanese Armored Core Wiki site, and thus the name of the creator and the instructions on how to make this magnificent piece escape us. Front Mission Evolved and MGS: Peace Walker Crossover

Kotaku has reported that Kojima Productions announced that certain boss characters in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP will drop items that can be used by the giant Wanzers in Front Mission Evolved, hinting at the PSP and PS3 connectivity between the two games. For the 360 version of FME, we suspect this will be turned into a DLC if it isn’t an exclusive arrangement between Konami and Square-Enix.

We here in RR would like to think bigger regarding this partnership, so we’re further hoping for something like the Shagohod featured in MGS: Snake Eater or some new Metal Gear being featured in Peace Walker becoming side bosses in FME, much like how the popular Monster Hunter’s Tigrex will be appearing as special boss characters in MGS: Peace Walker. As much as the FME/MGS boss crossover is improbable, we would like to keep hoping that the possibility is still there.

That, or we’ll be happy just having a Big Boss avatar for on-foot characters.

Now THESE are Armored Cores!

FG Site recently sponsored an Armored Core model making competition, and the results are nothing less than what we would feature in our Now That’s An Armored Core series. It comes to no surprise that the top placer was 507, the same person who built the very awesome Black Rain and Cronus Vestal. Hit the jump for the top placers as well as another honorable mention.
