Merry Christmas 2010 From Raven Republic

Hint: There is a mistletoe in the picture, look for it and you’ll know where to kiss… Anyway, as RR is slowly trying to be active again, our resident illustrator Trace has made another mind-blowingly awesome rendition of RR’s cover girl Sophie Emilia. Sophie wishes everyone an advanced Merry Christmas! She just keeps looking better and better.

Thanks Trace :D.

Armored Core Fan Stuff from Comiket 79

The devotion of AC fans knows no boundaries, and a group of hard-core enthusiasts decided to publish a series of fan magazines in the upcoming Comiket (Comic Market) 79 this coming December 29, 2010 in Japan. From what we gather, the contents will include original fan illustrations of Armored Core/s, and some articles that may interest fans. More images after the jump, along with their studio links:

Now THAT’S an Armored Core: Custom Lahire

Long time, no post, but this one piece is too good to pass up. Allegedly from the same creator of the Aaliyah Custom this really well painted Lahire kit has no special mods, gimicks or tricks, but it sure is pleasing to look at. With a blue, white, and gold paint scheme, the overall combination of colors plus the builder’s skill combine together for a fine finish.

Thanks J.E. for the heads up.

Front Mission Evolved Multiplayer Blues

Yes, we’re very much still alive here at RR, thank you very much. But anyway.

There’s been quite a buzz regarding Front Mission Evolved since it came out. Consistent enough with most mecha games, the single player experience in terms of plot/story and character development isn’t really surfacing on the write-ups around the web. Everyone has been more focused on the game mechanics, and more importantly how these translate into the multiplayer aspect.

Unfortunately, it’s not been all rosy reviews (or at all, for that matter).

Nine-Ball Seraph Playable in Another Century’s Episode: R

Nine-Ball Seraph is indeed present in the From Software developed mecha mash-up called Another Century’s Episode: R. The iconic Armored Core villain, this time controlled by pilot Winter, appears as the second to the last boss of the game. And after the 11th playthrough, Nine-Ball becomes a player selectable mech.
