In fairness he discovered a glitch that makes the quad laser back mount fire much faster by making it run out of energy and using the JIREN while holding down the fire button. Dunno if it's still in LR though.

That's one of the most epic april fool's ever. Kudos to IGN on that one. The only real giveaway is the fact that the IGN logo was all over the place.
