I don't expect much from it as long as it's being run by the government. They really should just privatize it and then jack up prices to whatever's necessary. With higher prices, you'll have less armpits against your face.
By the PHILIPPINE government at least. Other countries have no problems doing so sadly....

FUCKING QUOTED FOR TRUTH.

IIRC, the cheapest ride in SG in 60 pesos. In Japan it's 70 pesos. So does that mean we get 4.5x worse service compared to what the Japanese get? LOL Probably so.
Nah waayyyyy more than just 4.5x from what i have experienced. AND thats after getting to ride trains in japan. =_=
@everyone thank you!

@ jin, im in legaspi suites yo!

I need these shirts. Who's going to JP/SG/HK anytime soon? Tongue

lol i actually have shirts pero iba yung nilabas nilang designs sa japan. i have a grey one with all the vehicles that char rode in even the horse and a grey-blue ish one with an MS-06 punching an rx (is that right? )
i want the zaku shirt! ;w;

RANT: since im in advertising, starting next week i might feel the whole stay til 3 am stressed work load that advertising is made of lol
@MRT/LRT prices
actually, if the government wasnt subsidizing operation costs, the fare would be at around Php 60. i agree with privatization coz currently even you are not using the MRT/LRT you are still paying for it through your taxes >< also with an increase in price, it will limit who can actually use it. so malamang, yung mga nakakaafford lang bumili ng pangsipilyo ang sasakay ^^ downside, kawawa yung mga masa.

regarding maintenance costs as time and load increases; more people on the train means more weight and thus parts wearing out more quickly. think of your car's wheels and breaks. they'll wear out more quickly if you constantly ride with a lot of people versus just you alone.

more weight -> more momentum and more pressure of the tires against the road as well as surface are in contact with the road -> brakes have to be applied longer to stop the car completely and tires rub harder and longer on the road due to increased load -> wears down quicker compared to light loads assuming same number of trips.

more weight also requires the turbines/motor/whatever to crank out more juice. this in turn requires more electricity. even if they engines dont require additional power, generation charges has increased over the years simply because the price of oil has increased. basically train system uses lots of electricity. price of electricity has increased over the years.

in any case, lets just hope for the better.

rant: tae! na-Lao ako today! >< went to three different banks, all of them were closed. Quezon City Day pala. non-working holiday. I WAS NOT INFORMED!
I've been denied working on my own for my final project and instead I'll be working with noobs/ daydreamers(like myself) and one freeloaderVomit This freeloader in particular is the reason why I want to tackle the final project alone. This imp does nothing in class but stand right behind our backs while we work and just babbling about manga or anime or hentai 24/7 and he is waayyyy behind the assessments and he's barely got enough brain cells to utilize any of the software that we're using.

rant: being the middle guy/negotiator in issues suck. head hurts from problems that arent yours and you end up receiving part of each side's negative emotions even tho you're just a messenger -.-
