I don't religiously watch the events, but I watch when I can and I am a fan of the sport.

However, I'm a big fan of the Croatian fighter Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, particularly because of is killer high kicks. I'm happy that he recently made the transfer to UFC. (though I know Pride has the better fighters, UFC has a bigger fanbase... providing for a better future haha)

I used to watch K-1 on that solar channel. I remember this guy broke or dislocated his leg because he keeps on using it. Then there was this Bob Sapp........a big baby hehehe.

Hahah I'd like to see someone stop his leg now. Guys have been knocked out by Cro cop even while having their arms up to guard for the kick

I'm also a fan, but unfamiliar with the new contenders...

this cro cop sounds like a monster.

kicks are not as popular as triangle chokes in MMA.

nothing is more satisfying than a roundhouse kick to the head... (if you're the one delivering it)

Hahah yeah Crocop's kicks are definitely NOT overrated. He has 24 wins in MMA... and 14 of them are KOs and TKOs... the KOs mostly a result of his high kicks... check out some vids

Looking at the comments, they say Sapp's orbital bone was fractured even before the fight, hence the punch to the head resulting in a KO. Was it just me though, or did he look nervous at the start?

bobb sapp's head is one of his weakest points if you watch most of his fights but his punches are powerful enough to KO an opponent. cro cop was smart enough to distance himself.

But don't think that crocop won simply because of a damaged orbital bone. He's proven time and time again that his strikes are top tier.

Just watched UFC 67 last night. Goddamn, no wonder Cro Cop is such as bad ass... he hails from Zagreb, Croatia. Home of European tough guys and Boris 'The Bear' Knockimov.

That's not mentioning his service in the government as a commando in an anti-terrorist unit.

I guess if there's one person you should be afraid of, this is the guy.

That's where the nickname "cro cop" comes from. Croatian Cop.
