Actually, forget about it. If that happened, then my gaming days would be over. What I need is a prosthetic arm that can transform into a tentacle and a human hand.

Who said anything about needing to lop off limbs?

The point is that somebody made a robotic tentacle that's portable and rugged enough for personal use.

I can think of other ways of using the tech without having to amputate anything. Observe, Exhibit A

Touché. A technological marvel that might be appropriate for me, but I still want to cut my arms and legs off. I must become a Kraken abomination that'll be able to pierce the Amazons with limitless force.
