I believe John Connor has an idea:
Quote: By the time The Pirate Bay became self aware it had spread into millions of computer servers all across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms, everywhere. It was software, in Cyberspace. There was no system core. It could not be shut down."

Google launches Google Chrome Frame, which aims to bring "HTML5 and other open web technologies to Internet Explorer". In short, they're trying to get IE6 users to use Chrome.
They have to do this if they want to use Google Wave by the way.

Wi-Fi Between Devices Coming in 2010
This is pretty awesome. One day we might talking to each other wirelessly. Of course, the reception probably won't be as nice as what the telecom networks provide us now through their satellites, but free is always a good thing. If this will be free. Also, the Philippines will probably get it in 2013 anyway... so you have something to look forward to past the end of the world.

I bet it would be slow though, at least we won't be forced to use cables and hotspots anymore just to pass some files (and probably have some wireless hardware as well)

A not so amusing look at Google CEO Eric Schmidt's double standard
