Well yeah you're right. And yes I was too busy concentrating on tracking that I didn't notice him dropping the backmounts.
But like I said, my ability to adapt totally dipped after not playing for so long. Add the fact that Rick is already familiar with my AC. However, I would have probably been able to match Rick's flying ability (my frame is pretty energy efficient) and speed (his fully loaded light + B81 VS my VULTURE2 on an underweighted DINGO2) if I had only dropped my back mounts and extensions. And with my midweight's thicker armor, albeit having relatively equal weaponry with that of Rick's, the match MIGHT (heavy emphasis on MIGHT.
) have turned out differently. Too bad I only realized all this RIGHT NOW. 
And with that realization comes another realization that there's still more to learn about my aging tourney AC.
Hahaha truthfully, the moment I saw Rick's AC, I already started thinking of a counter to it because I knew that its mobility would totally give me a hard time due to my sniper-sized lockbox. Too bad my mind went blank with awe. XD
Ah well that's how it goes. With all that I've said, I don't mean to take away from Rick's win in any way though! With his sheer skill, adaptability, and designing savvy, he's definitely a complete raven. He truly deserves to be champion. *sniff* Hahaha
