Alright PACT 2.1 was a total success. Everyone was late... but that's okay.
Mix will lay down the details but for now, let me announce the top 3:
1st: Lord Leperman - Lord of Philippine Armored Core. Bravo bravo! Truly well-deserved.
2nd: NiX - Crammer extraordinaire. I never thought I'd get this position again after not playing AC since January. >_<
3rd: Maitreya - Also unexpected since both of us were totally out of practice.
It was totally tiring to bring around those TVs and stuff but it's alright. I had absolute fun.
Let's do this again, guys!
P.S. As for Rick's protege, Jake, who only started AC last month, let me say that he'll be even more of a beast after he gains some experience and gets an AC that he's truly comfortable with.

GG guys!
Rick is still the Filipino Raven Lord. We got shocked with his unexpected design, which pretty much did well in his hands. Haha. Superb.
P.S.
Someone remind me and NiX not to pick our ACs right before our matches. LOL! >.<
And to Jake: dude, you're good.

so tiring! ..just finished watching sweet november and loved it.
i really didnt like how i played, tensed ako. in fact, i realized the 'finding/searching one's self' kase i asked myself 'where's the old warren?'.. my self-esteem isnt in "there" anymore (this should be in the rant).
BUT, dont get me all wrong here, maybe its because i wasnt been able to redeem myself and just sat there and get all sweaty (i was even had my shirt off kase my pits are getting sweaty) but it was overall fun, seeing guys who play the same game that i really like is exciting.
i really wanted to play with all of u guys. well i got over it now and im okay. i was disappointed with my playing and thats that, lilipas den bukas. oh well papel >_< maybe i should forget ac for now for my punishment. keep the community active kase i like it here! ye ba \m/ be seeing you guys!
ps. thanks to the ones sa likod ng lahat ng ito, this wont be possible kung wala kau

Great success!
That's what this PACT was. Here are the official results:
And here are the standings and win-loss ratios, obtained by placing importance on how far that person got in the brackets first, then computing for their win versus total matches played ratio next. Byes are not included in the counting, only real matches are counted:
1. Lord_Leperman (7-0)
2. NiX (6-4)
3. maitreya (6-4)
4. AEA1 (2-6)
5. Jake (3-2)
6. Fox (2-3), Serene (2-2)
7.
8. clonezero (1-2), Grimlok (1-2), otakuwarren (1-2)
9.
10.
11. azuma-blade (0-2), beastkiller (0-2), Chaos (0-2)
12.
13.
A repeat of history, as it was said by many. Haha. Congratulations to Rick, Nix and Tim for bagging the top three ranks!

This is Jake. After months of lurking here, I finally created an account. Just wanted to say that I'm glad to have met and played with some of you guys. I was surprised that everyone was so cordial (and nice)! It was a lot of fun playing with other people, since playing practice matches (aka. target dummy) with Rick all the time can get a little frustrating
Thank you very much for the nice comments above, and to the PACT 2.1 organizers who did a great job with the event. I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed at myself because I expected to get further than I did during the tournament, but it was probably for the best since I had to leave early (sorry for sneaking out)! Hopefully there'll be a next time.

Haha awesome vids Serene. Ganun nga nangyari kay Rick.

There will be, because I've yet to battle you. Looking forward to future meets with you on the list of attendees. Like Tim said, you're very good for the amount of time you've been playing. I guess it helps that the person training you is our current number 1. Haha.
I'm still too tired to really write entire blocks of text down, but for now, I hope this will do:
AEA1 - Better late than never, right? Especially when it lands you in fourth place. Haha. For the love of the game, Doc. And for the Republic. Maraming salamat talaga sa offer mo, it really helped me.
azuma-blade - Credits to you for bringing down the champ to AP levels where he began to get nervous. Again, Fenrir, what else is there to say about that gun? Haha.
beastkiller - You looked like you were having the time of your life in your matches against Serene. Bigay na bigay, lalo na nung titirahin mo na ng LX. Hehe. Good luck nalang satin next time!
Chaos - The first time you went to a meet happened to be in a tournament. Were you taken by surprise at what you saw? No problem, I'm sure with further versus playtime you'll improve your ranking.
clonezero - How's that for your first time, eh? Good, yes? More versus playtime in Sta. Lucia in the future, yes?
Doom Trigger - Thanks so much for entrusting your huge TV to people you only met online. I hope it's still working exactly as when we took it?
Fox - Dual Gasts all the way, baby! Your AC looked like it was made for a rock video, and rock it did. I'll be counting on those pics.
Lord_Leperman - Lording it up for the second time! Congrats to you my man. Supah-Secret-Japanese-Ninja-Ultimate-Omega-Weapon really worked wonders and confused the hell out of the people you used it against. Credits too for using greatly underrated-but-good parts: stock core, Spartoi, B81.
maitreya - First time joining the PACT, and you take third place. How's that for success? Congratulations to you, and thank you for letting us have a great place to hold the tourney in.
NiX - History repeats itself, haha. Congratulations to you, despite using (almost?) the same AC, you managed to get to the same rank. Like Tim, I'd like to say thank you for granting us all a venue.
otakuwarren - I have to admit, I was taken by surprise with your skill with the quad. I think Tim was too. No problem on losing, you win BEST EMBLEM EVAR. Folks I'm not kidding, if we have pics to show I'm sure you will agree.
Serene - The Joker. Went classic with a Sawa and a blade. Tatag, mehn.
In retrospect, I realized I just did write entire blocks of text down. Oh well.
Give yourselves pats on the back, people, you all had great showing. Now the question lies: should I stop playing LR now? It seems new people to battle with suddenly showed up. Haha.

Awesome day! Awesome day!
Nix and Maitreya: Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts! The venue was just right, and you guys even fed us pizza (though I didn't get a slice because of my stomach problem x_x). Nix and Maitreya once again prove that playing AC still stays in the heart in mind even without playing for a while. Great day guys, and thanks very much once again!
Grimlok: Thanks for the (long ride home) and for taking some of the participants and equipment to the venue. Thanks also for formulating the results and brackets. Good fights, and you're pretty sneaky on your second round
Serene: Genbu likes you too . Other than that, I've seen a lot of improvements on your part. Also, I hope to see more of your drawings EDIT: Yeah, those vids pretty much explained me yesterday )
Fox: Mr. Fox... You now do not have the right to tell people that you suck anymore ).
Beastkiller: Design-wise, your AC posed the biggest threat to me. I was pretty lucky not to have faced you.
Chaos: We didn't really talk much, he seems like a nice guy though .
Otakuwarren: Man, you had the best emblem ever! I swear, no wonder you wanted that "no press start rule" just for that, and it was totaly worth making that rule just to see that emblem! There'll be other chances to play dude, I hope to see you again soon . You did pretty well for a single gunner AC.
Clonezero: Finally met you . At least you now know that you can play against Grimlok since you both live near by. Try to drag Goatling along next time.
Azuma Blade: Finally, I got my UC climax game back ) And yeah, that FENRIR did scare me as much as the BP did.
Sforzandos: Awesome performance amigo! d b. We're going TRAINING! ) After finishing some loose ends on some RPGs that is
AEA1: Prolly the most hardcore for entering the tourney after staying awake for more than 36 hours before that. I admire your power doc, and you deserve more of your kind of medicine
Doomtrigger: you weren't there, but you were there in spirt thanks to the massive PACT TV .
Great day guys. We'll meet again some time soon for sure. RR aniversery maybe?

After the madness that was the first attempt at PACT II, now we finally get things right! They say that things get better as time goes by and this AC tournament is no different. Lotsa fun and geting to meet new people never gets boring.
The top three Ravens of the Republic. From L-R, Maitreya (third), NiX (second) and Lord_Leperman I, the reining monarch of Philippine Armored Core players.
The pilots of PACT II. From L-R (standing) Chaos, AEA1, Maitreya, NiX, Otakuwarren, Azuma-Blade, Beastkiller and Grimlok. From L-R (kneeling) Fox, Lord_Leperman, Serene and Clonezero.
AEA1 - You arrived just in the nick of time, doc! That shows real dedication to the game we all love so much! Sorry doc, talagang wala tayong laban pag yung mga first- tsaka second-place ang tinapat sa 'tin.
Azuma-Blade - Hahaha, galing nung laban nyo ni Leperman. I never would've thought you could tango with him like that. Now i can see why you love the FENRIR so much.
Beastkiller - Hehehe, ginawang bunker yung central buidling sa Advance Base. And i can see that the Republic's resident tankmaster is still going sharp. Man, i don't know what would've happened to me if i squared off against you.
Chaos - How was it meeting the rest of the Republic for the first time? Dude, it was great chilling with you and OW after the tourney. hope i can fight against you next time, even if its not a tournament.
Clonezero - Good game, comrade. Don't feel bad about the rank, i was stuck with pretty much the same situation at the first tourney and i can assure you that everythin'll get better from here on. Ang kulit mo pala sa totoong buhay, hehehe.
Doom Trigger - Where were you during all this? Hey, at least you were kind enough to trust us with your TV. Hope to see you during the next tournament or meeting.
Grimlok - Whoa, looks like you've taken over my previous job as marshall . Thanks for taking the time to drop by DT's place and getting the TV. Without it, i wouldn't want to know what would've happened if we had to use the smaller set. Well, looks like what you told me about my ranking after PACT I turned out to be prophetic.
Lord_Leperman - To the victor the spoils! Thanks a helluva bunch for organizing this tourney. Thanks also for offering to meet me for the ride earlier in the day. That was a surprise, i knew that you weren't planning on using Halimaw but i never expected you to use a lightweight. Congrats on winning the tournament for the second consecutive time.
Maitreya - A whole bunch of thanks for providing the venue. For a guy who took part in the tournament for the first time, you didn't do half bad. Congrats on taking the third spot!
NiX - For someone who hasn't played for a long time, you sure gave me a good whuppin' dude. That was a great match. IMO, your skills haven't rusted at all, they're still as sharp as they were back in PACT I. Thanks for the venue too.
Otakuwarren - Hey, it was cool hanging out with you and Chaos after the tourney. Shame that i didn't get to go up against you. That quad of yours looked formidable.
Serene - Quite possible, you're the one who's improved a lot. More polished piloting than at the last tourney. That took a lot of guts going old-skool with the 'SAWA and a blade.
Sforzandos - Impressive skills for a guy who's only been playing for a few weeks. Feth, Leperman must be an incredible teacher if the way you played is any indication. Hope to see you in the next meetings we have.
It seemed like there was a trend yesterday. A whole bunch of lightweights and midweights with a tank and a quad thrown into the mix. More weapon diversity too as i didn't see as many 93RLs like in the last PACT. It also seemed like we were watching another replay of PACT I during the finals as it saw NiX going up against Leperman for the second time in a row.
To the guys who ganged up on me during the "Battle City" rounds...Hehehe, babangon ako at gagantihan kayo.
And i do expect some sort of event when August 13 arrives...
For the Republic!
