Any ideas on how to conduct such an event now that ACV is largely online and no longer has split screen? Will we even need to meet up at someone's house now? Will it be 1v1/2v2/3v3/4v4 now? Discuss.

We'll in effect be playing something like SF or Tekken, but with mechs. 1v1 free for all will not be balanced, because of the defense ratings. Invariably, someone will get lucky with his weapon/armor combo and this will be a significant, perhaps insurmountable advantage. 2v2 with set ACs (kept secret until tournament time) is fine too, and won't take as much work as my suggested 1v1 format. Teams will have to adjust to the competition in general terms, to make a team that can take on anything 3v3 and up... we don't have enough active members with ACV unless we include the ones currently not in the Philippines.

Ya, 2 on 2 sounds more reasonable. And here's another question: Do we just limit this to among ourselves, still? There's the whole world now.

Balancing will be a pain in the ass too.

Let's not even worry about the balance.
Is it possible to do this in mock battles? Players are paired 1v1 fights (while other pairs wait their turn). The operators take notes or even be the cameramEn.

double elimination like before
the brackets are posted online a free battle room is created win, loss are recorded online in the forums. participants check the forums if their match is coming up. part ban must be discussed and studied first. different thread PACT legal AC nust be defined

One of our users came up with a competitive ban list. Should probably help out whether you follow it or not.
