Rave: interview went pretty well with Digital Dodge earlier for a freelance project/gig

funny thing is its the visual effects head/interview siya pa nag sabi sa akin that they dont like the local content din or working with the local producers because they keep changing the deadlines/rushing things which ends up on sacrificing the quality but they have no option, in the end the client ang masusunod XD hindi na lng ako nag comment but i guess were in the same page

they mentioned later on they want to start producing their own content

so i guess i got along with the studio heads pretty well earlier...they also really dont like local content pero no choice for the time being since they're the clients

interviewer/visual effects head: Mr. Yang? question lng since you partly be teaching at informatics game design as well and freelance as a game artist at times...

bakit dami na gusto mag game design course, bakit siya na-uso ano ba meron sa game design?

me: simple think about if your a teenager and you love to play games...most people would think i love to play game so i will take game design na course and make games like final fantasy etc...until they realize 1st year pa lng...ang hirap pala...

interviewer/visual effects head: you also know how to draw and a bit of zbrush?
me: yes po, drawing/2d is a secondary skill for me and zbrush learning/practicing it a bit from time to time

in anycase interview went well XD may not like the clients they work for but apparently so does the heads in the studio they dont like the clients either but they got no choice
at least its in the right industry, the right job, paid and work experience

on a side note i need a new demo reel and beginning to use Ronin or Fang at times when interview how i want to be called aside from my normal name...well its my penname as an artist anyways why not i like the sound of it anyways

so aside from this another freelance pending 3d animation project but i dont know when pa with the client

as to how I found out…Best of anime thing at smx few weeks ago
haywire was at SMX for some sort of book fair

so tama lng timing…there was a con in the day, same building so while fetching haywire decided to check out the con…though I came late so nakauwi na most of the cosplayers

so while looking around saw a person holding tonfas I asked where did he get the pair…then he pointed to the Cloud cosplayer siya daw may ari nun
so I asked the Cloud cosplayer where did he get the tonfas…comic alley 1200 pesos a pair so while I asking I was spinning one of the tonfas around Cloud cosplayer asked if I knew martial arts…I told him I used to practice before…so he wanted to spar…so he used his buster sword cosplay thing…pretty much…nag typical downward strike siya…so I guess what I still remember abit from kung fu club back in high school clicked in…used the left tonfa to knock his buster sword out of the way and side stepped a bit, lunged forward used the right tonfa to do a head lock…and from then I was about to raise my right leg…then I had to stop because if I remember right the training/movement for that combo was supposively aiming for the opponents joint in the leg area…I might break something >_<

I like the comment ng friend ng Cloud cosplay after that quick friendly spar…

Bottom line is I know where to get a pair of tonfas :3…and accidentally scared that cloud cosplayer a bit…opsss…everytime I warn people I do know how to fight a bit…they usually find out the hard way

rant: past week has been stressful, made worse by coffee induced panic attacks ~.~
rant: what sucks more is at the end of the day i cant sleep properly.
rant: lack of sleep forces me to rely on coffee to get through the 12 hours. cycle repeats.
