It's just fun. I think the reason most of us stopped playing was because of territory drama and BS 3-4 months back. If you play the game as if it was LR it's hella fun. You can even do stupid retarded shit like sniper cannons on tank battles I had earlier today 
The balance changes also allow for more well rounded defense ACs to be created, especially on heavier setups.
