Beta test halted till servers get back online, rumors suggest Monday at the earliest. Gah, I'm just looking at youtube vids, and I am already amazed at the quality of the game.
look at this vid! Lock on missiles galore! 
I am sooo gonna use an A-10 on that mission!
 AA guns looks like they are a lot more dangerous though...

Well you guys were right, the a-10 does seem to need a lot to be unlocked! Well I know what I'm gonna be playing now!

Yup playing right now too. A-10 needs all prior aircraft in the tech tree to be unlocked first to my understanding.

Just keep playing and unlock earlier planes first.
go to the tech tree/grid and purchase the earlier planes once they become available. progress should be shown by a bar going up the icon of the plane in the grid.

Welp, final global release date is on May 28. I might actually play it for like once or twice a day, since it seems to be that kind of game.

The JP version was released a few days ago apparently. Also, some vids are up in youtube for the SP missions, I must say I haven't seen an Ace Combat plot as good as this in a long time. There will be a future set of SP missions for sure as hinted by the debriefing of mission 5.
