also tried to go for one big go at the pushups. seems like 60 is the limit for me atm.(on a fresh set-meaning those are the first pushups i did for the day. if I did some prior to the attempt, itll be much much less. around 40).

Wow. You should be on Week 5, column 3, then.
I usually do 30 reps on two sets eh. the third set being on knuckles so it goes down to 20. so I didn't really know how many I could do on one go before. lol.
2nd week of:
deadlifts:50lbs-15reps-4sets-10 secs rest Just like the one on the first page.. The rest.. I'll do them when I get my room back.. =_=

3rd week of boxing.
I can clear 5 km at the 45 min. mark regularly now on the off-days. maintaining the skip rope for at least 1:30 minutes before tripping. Also, I'm now at landing a clean double jab + straight combo on the speed ball, though the follow-up left hook + right body blow/upper needs more accuracy. Tried a full-power body blow on the mitts yesterday. Right hand shot forced trainer on his toes The windup is still horrible however - anybody can see it coming, so it needs more polish. The trainer kept smacking my head when I dropped the arm too low to ready the punch Left hook beginning to land with a loud *snap* instead of a dull thud. Doing about 150-200 reps on abs (2 sets), doing jab-straight on the contraction phase, with 2-lbs dumbells per hand.

I'm on my 3rd week too On the 2nd week I introduced bodyweight exercises for T,T,S, instead of doing weights the whole week. I'll include cycling too, when the bike is ready.

for me bodyweight exercises>weightlifting
if you REALLY want to hit the weighs, just use free weights, and go for practical movements.

it kinda sucks when you've got big muscles but you can't carry your own weight.
anyway, some parkour training <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2JP1AWxT7m0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2JP1AWxT7m0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9bHu0fpqJDQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9bHu0fpqJDQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Trainer decided to up the ante yesterday evening
3 rounds heavy bag 2 rounds wall bag, emphasis on body blows and hook. He showed me a new left hook + left body blow sidestep combo 2 rounds mitts 2 rounds shadow boxing 3 rounds speed ball 3 rounds shadow boxing with 5-pound dumbells 3 rounds speed bag In between rounds, the rest interval was halved from 1 minute to 30 secs, and aside from the breaks, I was pretty much swinging my arms almost nonstop for the whole session T_T. That freaking hurt.

YESSSSSSSS......
Hahaha, asteeeg.
Ok, so I've been planning to get fit since last month. There's a gym here that I can use for free, it has all the basic equipment a gym usually has. CCP is also pretty close, so morning jogs are do-able. There's also a small pool and a sauna. Any tips on how I could start? btw, I'm just looking to lose fat/better cardio |
