In its statement on Friday the European Commission said:
"Microsoft's tying of Internet Explorer to the Windows operating system harms competition between web browsers, undermines product innovation and ultimately reduces consumer choice."

Basically, this app uses your iPhone's accelerometer to give precise predictions on your bullet's trajectory depending on your firing angle.

Work starts on £65m whisky waste energy plant
Quote:Construction work is underway at a Scottish bioenergy plant that will convert waste from the whisky-making process into energy.
The £65m project at Fife's Cameronbridge Distillery will use spent wash - a mix of wheat, malted barley, yeast and water - to meet the plant's energy needs.
It is expected that once up and running the plant will allow the distillery to cut its use of fossil fuels to just 5% of their current levels.
The plant is being built by drinks multinational Diageo in partnership with energy management company Dalkia.
Diageo produces many well-known whisky brands including Johnnie Walker, Bells and Talisker.
Imagine if San Miguel Phils. tried this too.

Here's a little something for the 00 fans:
World's Largest Solar Thermal plant predicted to go online by 2011
The facility will use nine square miles of land, and will generate 533 MW of power.
Well, it ain't a solar furnace (nor is it in deep space), but we're getting there.

im a geek also, and me and this guy would get along great. I use the following terms in real life;
"lol"
"FAIL" (a running gag between me and friends XD)
"FTW"
"1337"
"Noob"
"Permibanned"
"troll"
"Voraphile"
heres how a conversation would go usually;
Friend: hey wheres so-and-so?
Me: I think he got IRL permibanned.
Friend: What?
Me:Noob....

I can understand saying lol, fail, win, etc in real life.
But saying Bee-Arr-Bee instead of Be right back. Or Gee-Tee-Gee- instead of got to go. Or Eff-Tee-Doubleyu instead of for the win... damn that just doesn't make sense. The whole words have the same amount of syllables or even fewer!

There's a new law in New Zealand that basically allows ISPs to cut the internet connection of anyone suspected of doing illegal stuff online.
Not cool.

I think I mentioned my horrible netbook helicopter/paperclip-in-electric-fan/sink waste-disposal-like fan problem before which Lenovo refused to acknowledge. Thankfully, Engadget just covered it. Hopefully Lenovo will notice this time.
