AC:LR Emblem Converter v1.1 by zk306
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?7p9pshgmz7dwvav
Image requirements:
horizontally flipped 24-bit bitmap (use MS Paint to ensure compatibility.)
128x128 pixels. no more, no less.
Maximum of 256 colors. (1 color for transparency, 255 for actual colors)
Important!
If these are not met the program will freak out and/or your emblem file will not be read by the game.
Notes:
Upper-leftmost pixel = transparent color.
Border issues caused by anti-alias are not repaired by this program. You will have to either edit your image beforehand to remove these or edit it in the game later.
If you do not provide a emblem filename, the output will default to data0.
AC:LR only reads emblems with the filename data0 up to data7
Important!
This is not the perfect solution to your emblem needs. Be prepared to go in and edit the emblem after it has been converted (especially if you have transparent sections.) The goal of this program is to dump images into emblems instead of spending hours recreating it pixel per pixel in AC.
Disclaimer:
Use at your own risk! I will not be held liable for corrupted memory cards.
Usage:
1) Run the program.
2) Select the image you want to convert into an emblem and click Open.
3) Enter the emblem filename you want to use and click OK.
4) Copy* emblem file to your ps2 memory card (folder BASLUS-21338EMB).
*You'll need to have Free MCBoot and uLaunch or a similar mod setup that lets you copy files from a USB drive to the ps2 memory card.

Troubleshooting/FAQ:
I'm too lazy to learn all this, could you make me an emblem?
-see the request section at the end of this post.
Emblem not showing up in list of emblems to load
-make sure that the file is named correctly (data0 ~ data7)
-make sure that the file size is exactly 17440 bytes
-make sure you used a 24-bit BMP with a max of 256 colors
-if using ulaunch, make sure you used mcPaste when copying the file into the memory card. you should be asked to overwrite the file.
Emblem file is over/under 17440 bytes
-make sure that your BMP follows the image requirements listed above
-make sure that the emblem file is not modified by other programs
Emblem appears distorted, there are missing colors/pixels
-make sure you follow the image requirements
-colors beyond the first 256 will be dropped. pixels using these colors will be rendered transparent.
I don't want transparency in my image
-set the first pixel of your BMP to a color your image does not use. after loading it into AC:LR manually edit the first pixel of the emblem to what it should be.
Transparency color did not become transparent
-the only fix for now is to simply paint over it with the in-game emblem editor. sorry ^^u
How do I transfer the emblem files from my PC to the memory card?
-look up Free MCboot and uLaunchElf
Halp! How do i install MCboot and uLaunchElf
-sorry. that's not covered by this troubleshooting guide.
Could you add this feature...
-if it's a feature already present in an image editor, then no. and no, i won't make a converter for other versions of AC (largely because i only have AC:LR for ps2 XD )

EMBLEM REQUEST SECTION
Minimum requirements for a request would be the source image and a description of what you want the output to look like. Of course, don't expect me to finish it quickly (i'm mr.procrastinator afterall mwahahahah!) Also, please note that my photoshop skills are only average ^^
For quick results, design, save and post your image as if you were making a 128x128 forum avatar.
Finished files will be uploaded somewhere and a link PMed to you. Alternatively, i can save it to my memory card and copy it to yours at an RR meet (you don't need to muck about with modding your ps2 this way.)
