I've been working on a series of diffusers for my living room on and off over the past year and a half. Finally got around to finishing them and hanging them today.

That looks really good! What wood did you use? From the looks of the grain those are all different blocks, hand-arranged?
After a year and a half of searching I'm still searching for woodworking classes here.. RR peeps, if you spot any, let me know haha

The wood for each set is pine, aspen, douglas fir and redwood. The doulgas fir and redwood you can't get anymore nowadays-- at least not naturally grown.

Except for the pine, I don't think those are available at all here. The Philippine variety tends to steer towards hardwoods more. Great stuff though.

Did you spray the translucent orange directly on the visor? Translucent orange over clear blue won't give you that tinted orange look.
If you just want the orange color to stand out, you can try painting the visor with silver or chrome, then apply a coat of clear orange on top of it. Similar to what this guy did:

Welp back to amazon, but will paint thinner take that off though? Also yes I did paint it directly with the orange.

IIRC tamiya spray paints are lacquer based so you'll need a lacquer thinner to effectively remove it. I remember back then I was able to remove tamiya spray paints with just acrylic and enamel thinners, but only because the model had a very thin coat of paint and it wasn't primed.

Then I guess I'll need to get some of that and some more elbow grease then.
