Mom threw another tantrum today.

As I was getting into my bathroom to use the loo, she walks into the room, and starts banging on the bathroom door with a heavy object, and I was forced to keep it closed for fear of being hit with what she was carrying. She starts screaming and swearing at me.

The reason?

She's pissed that I didn't bring her up a share of what I was eating for breakfast - it was tapa - and she thought that I simply ignored her when I went back up without any of the food. I was going to go back, but I had a case of LBM. That's when she stormed to her room, and got something heavy to bang on the door with - it looked like she was planning to hit me with it as well. OU helper later noted it was the stick we use to hang uplaundry.

Then she accuses me of finishing all the tapa and saying that I'm selfish, and claims the maid said I ate all of it. I asked the maid, and she claims she just told my mom that she didn't know how much tapa was left in the fridge, and that it might be out. She didn't say I ate it all. I don't need this. You'd think that if she had the energy to spend more than six ours every night playing nothing but Cityville, and still have the strength to scream like a spoiled brat while trying to hit people with blunt instruments, she'd have enough energy left to walk down to the kitchen and get her own breakfast.

I don't fucking need this happening every other morning. It's ruining my concentration for my writing. Stupid, loony old cow.

And no, even if I practice arnis and boxing, it never crossed my mind to hit her. She is not worth dirtying my sticks or my fists. But that does mean it makes it nearly impossible for her to hit me or hurt me physically.

I just wish - and I sincerely mean this - that I had a better mom than the stupid bitch that sits at the living room every night, eyes glued to her laptop.

Good luck! References on the internet on HTML, PHP, CSS and overall being a webmaster are pretty numerous, so any questions you should have will be pretty answerable, I think. I know because I learned how to run RR that way.

Your situation at home sucks, and I hope things get better sometime, if not soon.

We gotta get ALL our college application materials ready by next month na.

The school provided a effing lot of brochures from colleges here and abroad. Also brochures from college review centers

They'll also be the ones to submit our requirements to colleges we to pick when we hit senior year (aka, we don't need to travel there aside from entrance exams)

Rant:
They don't have the brochures from the colleges I'm after yet.

RANT: I got scammed by a batchmate at school. She said her house got destroyed in the last typhoon a few months ago and appealed for money. She approached me directly if she could borrow 10k. I decided to be nice and donated 2k to her because I couldn't lend her 10k.

Earlier today another batchmate told me that she actually needed 10k to join a network marketing company. They were pissed off because she lied to them about attending a party when she was actually dragging them off to a recruitment meeting.

Mothers in general are great, but I wouldn't assume that every single one of them is great and deserving of gratitude.

As far as gratitude to parents goes, I don't think we should be automatically grateful to parents simply for raising us and bringing us into this world. That's their responsibility after all, since we are results of their actions in the first place. Regardless of the circumstances, they were the cause of us.

IMO, gratitude (and respect... and maybe even love) should be earned through actions done willingly and not out of mere responsibility or family ties -- applies to both parents and children, of course. I don't like the idea of loving someone by default simply because you share genes. There should be more to it than just that.

But in the end, we humans are pretty weak alone, so we try not to fuck around with the people around us, most especially the ones we live with, and even more so the ones we depend on. So yeah, I'm still saying that it's not cool to fuck around with family.
