Rant:
Back pain, heavy winter (snow) storm, upcoming finals, and the holidays coming to an end, God this is depressing...
Replace physics with chemistry, beer with coffee, and this song sums up my current state of mind nicely:
Rave:
On the third playthrough of Ace Combat Zero, is it me or are the soldier aces way easier than their knight and mercenary counterparts?

Trying to break my record of 40 hours awake. Triple shot espresso, I hope you get me through tonight and a 9 hour exam with no breaks tomorrow.

Retention and recall is better with sleep, though, cuz sleep is when your brain defrags.

Kinnda pointless, the brain is empty at the moment
Test is open notes, books, and laptop/s w/o internet... I doubt it will help though.
From what I know, we're going to read an accounting case, derive the numbers from it, get the financial ratios and then determine if the business in the case is profitable or not based on those financial ratios. It goes beyond, we're prolly going to have to explain if the business has enough cash to pay any short-term debt and/or if its inventory turnover will be enough to sustain a business' need for cash or other liquid assets.
They even sent us the actual questionnaire for the finals as if to taunt us. The file is password protected and the password is to be given during the test period.
Edit: I re-read my post, I almost sound like an accountant D:

dont compromise your sleep as much as possible, although i cant say that im right in my current position. as long as it maximizes your performance in school, do whatever it is necessary.

^ Yeah. Do be careful when lacking in sleep hours, Rick. Other than its consequences to your health, you might have a hard time inputting data and stuff. I learned it the hard way... during an exam too. (I thought about Megatron and Optimus for a split second during that time and I suddenly wrote them, with the word autobot iirc in an essay writing. Good thing I was able to notice it and erased it prior to submission.) To put it simply, my knowledge was set for the exam, but my mind wasn't. xD
Maybe it would help if you drink another dose of coffee though. Or bring a supply of coffee with you that'll last 9 hours, if allowed.

As I've mentioned before, by all means stay up as late as humanly possible
When you take in caffeine, drink it slowly and not all at once. The effects wear off in about 3-4 hours, so continued application of mild doses is best. Remember that it only eliminates the need for sleep; it doesn't make your body any less tired.

It doesn't actually eliminate the need for sleep; it's more like it prevents you from sleeping. So even if you want to sleep, you can't. Pretty effed up.

You can do it, Leperdude! Kick that exam right in the balls! then go into hibernation for the next several days.
