1. Go to xkcd and read about 20 or so strips.

One other way to determine if you're a geek...
You ARE a member of this forum.
As simple as that.

Me, I chose Dunno, why??? well it depends on us if we want to accept that we are geeks, or not, well, and to tell the truth, I half a geek, well I do rarely do physical activity, naahhhh.
I hope I did not offend anyone.
My first impression of you was right
But there is still that needs to be done

Hahaha noong high school naman ganun eh, parang medyo shunned ka dahil mahilig ka sa anime, video games, ganun, so you feel bad and think about rejecting these things that you like. Pero nang tumanda na ako, wala na akong pakialam sa kung ano isipin ng mga tao tungkol sa mga mahilig sa anime at video games. LOL maturity?

I never felt shunned because i had others of my kind with me back then.
All the groups i hung out with during elementary and high school pretty much had videogames and cartoons on the brain. Even though some of us did play sports (hey, i was on the track team back during my junior and senior years) or were total brainiacs (the class valedictorian was our best SFZero player, near unbeatable with Adon and Guile), the centerpiece of our after-school and weekend activities consisted of us hanging out at a designated-somebody's room and playing games all day long.
In class, we all sat at the back of the room and all of our seats were covered (read: vandalized) with cheat codes, game titles and the like. All of our discussion revolved around games and anime (just a scant handful back then -late 90's). We were also the guys who first discovered anime way before it became mainstream in the Phils. Saturday morning cartoons were with me almost since i first learned to walk, I've been watching Voltron for as long as i could remember and i first saw Robotech on cable in the early 90's. We first saw Yu Yu Hakusho on ch.13 and Slam Dunk on ch.5 in '96 and '97 way before the became famous on GMA-7.
Looking back, i just realized that i've been a geek for almost my entire life! Alright!

came across this topic just now. I AM a geek, and I don't give a rats ass what people think. Im *cough* a good 5 times better looking and more sensible than some "maangas" non-geek wanting to be bad-ass dude out there, AND I can whoop their ass too.
*some parts were sarcastic*

Well. My definition of a geek basically falls under this:
"Being an entusiast of one or more topic/culture." In Japan, these are considered 'otaku.'
To illustrate, just because you're considered an 'otaku' doesn't necesarilly mean that you're into moe and anime. There are many types, there are game otaku, comics otaku, tech otaku, art otaku, camera otaku, video otaku, music otaku, etc etc etc.
In context to our culture, we can just replace the word 'otaku' with 'geek' from the above examples.
imo, if you're not a geek about something. You must have a boring passion.
Which kinda brings us to our next question: What are you geeky in? XD
Me? 2D fighters, figma, comics, Japan in general, Photoshop, Drawing in many forms of media, Gundam, Transformers, plenty of anime and manga, Ragnarok Online... uh.. there's probably more but I don't remember right now.
So yeah, I'm a geek, and geeks'll take over the world.
Note: We may have to define what the differences are between Geeks, Dorks, Nerds, Idiots and Jocks. Would there be a median between these classes?
