I now realize that this is a common occurrence for gamers.
The good news is that Rick found a way to fix it. I'm not sure if the saved file or the CSO was damaged since we replaced the CSO and "fixed" the saved file with a plugin and refreshes some of the data on corrupted saved files.
So yes, it works again. I'll remember to back up for sure.

BTW what format is ur copy of Phantasy Star Portable? ISO or CSO? I have another friend ranting to me his very similar story(ur the 3rd casualty actually), with only connection I can see is that both of us use the CSO copy of the game.. I now play an ISO copy, hope this madness won't happen again..
I think it affects both CSO and ISO copies. I have a feeling it might be because of the very very frequent memory stick reading times. Just removing and replacing the copy of the game with a fresh one (I kept the original *.rar file) will help to fix it I think.
Glad to hear it worked out dude.
I remember when my first MH file was lost, 'cept it wasn't corrupted save data that got me.
It was a defective memstick.
My Crisis Core and MH data just upped and disappeared, along with my 4 GB memstick.

What gym do you go for boxing?

Awesome. I miss the mitts. It's been years since I last took up my gloves. Haha

It's good exercise. And a good way to relieve stress. Punching stuff feels good.

Yeah I'm gonna start looking at gyms around here. Need to relieve that stress. One, two, three, the end. Body body body body body blow. Uppercut!

This time of the year is really unfair to those of us whose bodyclocks are tuned to a different time-zone. Sleep is really hard to come by when the sun seems intent on baking your brains. Feth...

My netbook's fan finally gave out today. It was continuously getting stuck on something, and sounded like a very loud constant fart. So loud in fact that the people on the other end of the office could hear it. I've thought about selling it, but the Lenovo S10 really is a good netbook (except for the fan).
Because of this I left the office about 30 minutes early to go to a service center in MOA. When I got to the Lenovo shop, the customer service guy just asked "Anong problema?", then I was like, "fan". Without saying another word he took the netbook to the back and disassembled it.
Ended up watching XXX (the crime docu show) in really, really loud volume on some website with the other staff people for about 20 minutes, until the customer service guy suddenly comes back out and tells me, "sira nga fan nito. paiwan nalang ng mga dalawang linggo." The office was like an oven, and the staff people looked really really bored. One of them was playing Dynomite infront of me
