Rant: my social ineptness and approach anxiety. (I don't wanna be the real life 40yr. old virgin )
Rave: actually doing something about it...like approaching a 2 set(with a little help of the ol` liquid courage)...sitting at their table without asking permission...not talking for about 30 seconds...watching them feel akward in the situation and me saying "don't you just love akward silences?".....and them after a few more seconds girl code each other and go to the comfort room
not exactly a resounding sucess but it's a start

Getting punched in the face and getting high have something in common: Either way, you lose neurons.

Phantasy Star Portable saved game;
6 hours a day for a week;
Level 84;
Corrupted;
No backup;
I'm never playing the game again. Fuck it.

Ouch. I've done that on some games on emulator. I'm really far into the game and then I suddenly overwrite my only save-state with a save-state of the title screen.

@Jake: While not on the same lvl of despair as you, something realy similar happened to my game as well(same game). BTW what format is ur copy of Phantasy Star Portable? ISO or CSO? I have another friend ranting to me his very similar story(ur the 3rd casualty actually), with only connection I can see is that both of us use the CSO copy of the game.. I now play an ISO copy, hope this madness won't happen again..
This is also a punishment for you.

I've been going on 14-hour work days (on average) for past weeks. And it's just getting worse.

Guys, thanks a lot for the concern
I now realize that this is a common occurrence for gamers.
The good news is that Rick found a way to fix it. I'm not sure if the saved file or the CSO was damaged since we replaced the CSO and "fixed" the saved file with a plugin and refreshes some of the data on corrupted saved files.
So yes, it works again. I'll remember to back up for sure.

I think it affects both CSO and ISO copies. I have a feeling it might be because of the very very frequent memory stick reading times. Just removing and replacing the copy of the game with a fresh one (I kept the original *.rar file) will help to fix it I think.
