I don't like what they did to the hydra though. I don't like the idea of it being an "anti-air" unit. Even with the lurker upgrade, I don't think it's ranged vs. land potential should be completely nerfed. However, I like the upgrade to the Phoenix. Seems abusable.

Dark Pylon
Blah blah Dark Templar Lore. This building allows you several skills for units (upgraded Pylon)
Proton Charge
Makes mining minerals faster by increasing the probe's proton cutter. This ability uses energy of the dark pylon. This is for a short time and allows economic advantage.

Basically a defense matrix which is targetable.

Exchanges mana with another unit which uses mana

The Marine is now much much stronger in SC2 than SC1. How can a zerg player fight against this?
- Zerg players can do the following to defeat marines. You can fight in a large area using zerglings. Burrow Banelings is another great way to destroy Marines. As long as it is a wide area zerg players won't have a hard time flanking marines, and you will hear hundreds of "UHDAUHJSA" screams from marines. You can also mix roaches with your army to do this easily.
Another great way to destroy marines are the infestors. One "Fungal Scourge" can destroy a squad of marines in an instant. If your opponent does not react fast enough, most of their army will be dead. Also cleave from an ultralisks destroy marines rather quickly.
Ground Suicide units have a habit of having the worst AI possible. How do I stop my banelings from constantly prioritizing buildings first rather than units?
- Banelings now have a skill called "Explode on Buildings." Now to target buildings you have to use the skill instead of using the attack command.

its good to see that SC2 is evolving differently as an RTS compare to what we are seeing in RA3 and DoW2 (almost no macro).

This changes SC2 macro a lot. Mid-to-late game (anti) Mining techniques/strategies would greatly vary from race to race. Like for Zerg, they now can build more drones because of the queen ability. We would probably be seeing well-positioned dark pylons which doubles as a mining upgrade and defense/pathing for probes (whereas this used to be a role of the pylon in SC2). Terrans get free miners and temporary supply boost.
Oh, and to add to what atdsutm posted, Zerg units are getting animation and texture revamps.

Blizzard president Mike Morhaime today confirmed that the StarCraft II beta would begin sometime this summer.
"This summer we will be opening up external beta testing, and while we haven't announced a release date yet, this phase will also signal the final stretch [of development on the game]," said Morhaime during today's Activision Blizzard conference call.
Signups for the beta officially opened yesterday, with users able to opt-in to the test by way of their Battle.net profiles. The test will focus on the multiplayer mode, featuring all three of the title's races and several maps.
"Our priority now is completing the core game," added Morhaime. "Once that is complete, our focus will shift [to the two expansions]."
