Currently playing Civilization III again, as the great civilization of Rome, on default settings all around. This time, I'll definitely try to finish a damn game.
Made by one of the game industry's greats, Sid Meier, Civilization has been one of those great strategy games that don't require speedy mouseclicks and keyboard shortcuts to win, so it's been one of my favorites. Basically you assume control of the civilization of your choice and guide it through the ages, from its founding to its flourishing. Everything in between is included: technology and research, culture, trade, diplomacy and war. Contrary to what some might say as Civ being an easier StarCraft or C&C because it doesn't have the time pressure, the AI in this game can get insanely hard at times, and you can always decide to ramp up the challenge even more by making the world have little resources, so it has great replay value. Plus, coexisting with other civilizations up until the space race is for pussies! World conquest FTW!
After CivIII I'll play CivIV. Oh yeah.

This stuff is why I want to get into game development. Just sublime!

Basically, think of it as the Nickelodeon cartoon Chalk Zone come to life, except this time you're using crayons. You guide the round red ball into the waiting yellow star (made from crayon, naturally) by drawing crayon blocks from out of the atmosphere. It's extremely inventive from a gameplay mechanic point of view, and just beautiful to look at.
What even more amazing is that the developer did all this within a 7-day deadline. The next version promises to allow shapes other than rectangles.
EDIT: Scratch that. He did this in 5 days. Incredible.

I'm late. I just started playing God of War, because my SPOSing PS2 wasn't able to read those "DVD8" games before. I just got my console fixed a while ago.

Got a bit nostalgic so i started a new character in Diablo II - Lord of Destruction. Currently playing a scythe-wielding Necromancer and just wiped the floor with Andariel's carcass before heading to work earlier.

Yeah. But sadly, your VOTOMS dvd doesn't work. The guy at Difatto says I'll have to change the chip. My PS2 is still having a hard time reading those blue-backs.
Though I'm still planning on upgrading my PS2, since VOTOMS, FM5, GOW I & II are the main reasons to upgrade my PS2.

Nope, have a rare scythe named the Soul Scourge as the main weapon. It's a bit weird but i'm building this Necro as more of close-combat variant than a summoner. I've got Bone Spear as his only ranged attack. I don't think i've heard of the Soul Reaver but i did pick up something in Act III called Trang-Oul's Guise or something like that, which was a lvl.60+ mask that's part of a set. Still at level 19 so i can't use it yet. Weird builds are what comprise most of my D2 characters. I've done javazons, whirlybarbs, trapsins, rangers and weatherwomen.
Which reminds me, no one's made a thread for D2: LoD yet.
