Oh yeah, I got only FM5 Scars of the War, the other one is Scars of War(di ko alam eh) and I just look on a FAQ, and yung mga parts nila ay galing pa sa FM4, but with some added, parang same yung AC and FM, FM muna up to AC.
My first impression of you was right
But there is still that needs to be done
We must hurry

To those interested, there is an in-game fan translation project being done from Japanese to English for Front Mission 5 in the FM5 boards in GFAQs. So far they've translated the skills and wanzer parts and are working on translating the game texts and and CG cutscenes (by editing the subtitles or by hard coding them into the cutscene, which has been done before in DVD5 versions of God of War 2 IIRC).

Wanzer's pretty lucky now :p

They expect it to be done by mid-February or March, but of course, there's no real way we can be sure.

Dang it. You guys are lucky to even have PS2s to play Front Mission 4 and 5. I'm relatively new to the series. I mean it, since I played my very first Front Mission game just 2 weeks ago! It was Front Mission: Gun Hazard ala SNES emu and IT WAS SWEET! I loved it! The storyline got me so hooked that I actually forgot to sleep and had class in a few hours xD Currently playing the first game (still through emu), but so far, I'm not really into it as I was with Gun Hazard... Or maybe because I'm still at the beginning of the game (when you first get the supply truck -_-). The beginning seems kinda boring. I'm hoping that the plot thickens much later in the game. Currently hunting for the second game. Wish me luck xD

Sorry Shayde, but Gun Hazard is not Front Mission canon. Worse, it's not what FM gameplay really is.
FM is more of a strategy game than a sidescrolling shooter.

You might want to play similar games like Assault Suits Valken and Metal Warriors if you're not interested in tactical games.
And yes, they are SNES games.

Hey, don't get me wrong! I LOVE strategy games (wouldnt be the SRW fan that I am today if I wasnt!)! I just said I was really hooked to Gun Hazard because the storyline was thick already from the start. And yeah, I know it isn't canon. I just found it really good. I'm still looking forward to finishing the first and third game. I dunno where to get the second. Is it SNES or PS?
BTW, I don't like Valken... I dunno why, but I didn't like it at first glance.

FM1, Gunhazard: SNES (FM1 was also ported for the DS)
FM2, Alternative, FM3: PS1
FM4 and 5: PS2
FMO (Front Mission Online): PC, PS2.
FM2's pretty rare, though I know Wanzerfreak has a copy, and not to mention that there was no attempt to translate this game makes it even more difficult to play (all other FM titles got translated in one form or the other, except for the FM5 translation project which is still going on).
Oh, it might interest you that Assault Suits Valken 2 for the PS1 is a strategy game as well

I liked Assault Suits Valken 2. I didn't understand a thing, but I finished it.
