The video shows a squad-based FM game with live players. I wish I could play with them.

FMO only came out in Japan IIRC.

W-wait! But is it possible to play here in the Philippines while you're connected to Japan?

I'm getting FM5 as I type this... I have a feeling that I'll be totaly unprepared for what I'm about to face, much like the time I played FM2 where I got stuck on the 3rd level for over a month of regular playing. I just hope the game is forgiving enough to be playable.
Note: I'm getting the JPN version.

Haha. I didn't know Emma Klamsky would also be in FM5. And I didn't know you can recruit Darril from FM4!
I am going to get game too, since I'm curious of the connection between FM4 an FM3, since I finished the JAP version for FM4.
When is the USA version coming out?

there's no connection between 3 and 4.
4 i sort of a prequel while 5 transcends the events from the second huffman war up to the events that lead to the MIDAS incident in 2112.

So is my understanding correct? It's 1, 2, 4, 5, 3? That would explain the relative advanced-ness of technology in 3 in comparison to 4.

I think its more of 1, 5, 4, 2, 3 based on the order of when the main story on each game starts. (Although I'm not sure when FM4's story starts, and FM5's childhood scenes start during the 1st Huffman War but the main plot starts during the 2nd Huffman War)
Its really too bad that FM5 didn't, and probably will not get an english release. The production values are almost on the level of FF12, which is quite a shame really. FM5 sitll playable however, since the interface is similar to that of FM3 and 4. The best you can do if you can't read Japanese is to enjoy the cutscenes and the Wanzer re-modeling feature in the game . The cutscenes are nice to watch as well BTW, and you can view them again in the theater selection in the title screen.

Yeah. I think you're right. I read it at wikipedia that Emma isn't finished with her MIDAS project yet, though she's not a playable character. I saw the new features at wikipedia a long time ago.
Haha. The vid posted by legaiarules at youtube challenging Driscoll, Lukav, and Wagner is a nightmare. Makes me wanna buy FM5 even in JAP lol.

Head to Raon if you've got the time. I saw LR and GoW2 there about a couple of weeks before they appeared in MCS and Greenhills. Seems like they get the new stuff earlier than the other places.
