To create and enable PNACH files in PCSX2, do the following:
That's it!
Notes:
1. Lines with double slashes (//) are comments.
2. patch=1 means that the cheat/hack is active, while patch=0 means it's inactive. When PCSX2 loads the file it will still include each line item in the count, whether it's active or not. You might see a difference between the number of cheats displayed on the OSD popup when starting a game, versus what's actually active.
3. I found that majority of the PS2 AC games already have widescreen and no-interlace/anti-blur patches available for them in the latest versions of PCSX2, under the "resources" subfolder (cheats_ws.zip and cheats_ni.zip respectively). You do NOT need to do any unzipping to activate these, you can enable/disable them at will through Settings > Graphics > Display tab, using the "Enable Widescreen Patches", "Enable No-Interlacing Patches", and "Anti-Blur" checkboxes. For that reason, I no longer included them in the list below.
4. It goes without saying - please don't use these while playing against other people without their knowledge.
- Create a blank text file and copy-paste the code that you see below for your respective game.
- Save your file, then rename it to the listed filename (making sure to include the .txt file extension in the edit).
- Place your file in the PCSX2 "cheats" subfolder.
- Start PCSX2, then go to Settings > Emulation.
- Tick the "Enable Cheats" checkbox.
- Start your game, and verify that the cheats are enabled with the short popup message on the top left as the game is booting.
