I've never read any issues about microwave ovens conflicting with a computer's performance except if they're plugged in with the same power supply (which may conflict with your computer's power consumption)

EDIT: It may affect the wi-fi connection a bit, as it took the whole duration of the microwaving process (30 seconds) for the message to be posted. The whole connection though, was never disconnected. I'm a bit inconclusive about that, but a 750watt running microwave oven beside my laptop didn't affect it in any sort of way besides that, what more damage can that little microwave oven that runs on your USB drive can do? Any long term effects like my laptop suddenly shorting out or transforming into a robot will be noted.
