Vampire Hunter D
So as a way to round out my good experience with Bloodlust, I decided to watch the original Vampire Hunter D this morning. The story in this one is much more simple than the sequel, as all first attempts tend to go. But it's still a good one.
Art style, as you'd expect from anything made in 1985, follows that of the old-school anime style, which employs sketchier and less sharp images than the ones we have now. Of course with the man Yoshitaka Amano handling things in this department you know it's quality work.
Sound is pretty forgettable. I don't think I remember a tune from the movie.
Overall: C+.
