Man, it's funny to see how you guys can understand us, even though we speak in Filipino.
In any case, weapons like that could be deadly, in the PS2 and PS1 games at least. The ability to have both types of damage at any point should surprise any type of defense that most people play, since it's virtually switching between energy and shell fire. However, I don't see it having the same flexibility as having two weapons, one solid and one energy-based. What if the single hybrid weapon wasn't good at all? It'd be just a waste of time equipping it. Furthermore, against the more defense oriented playing styles, it'd be just another weapon to endure and evade.
Although I can't speak for AC4 and the possible effects of these types of weapons there.
