Armored Core and real life

This is pretty sad... Wel, I move that this topic be expanded to include any real life related stuff related to AC.

It is 2AM as I write this, waking up from what seemed to be the coolest AC mission ever! Ok so there I was, assigned by (insert company name here) to blow up an underwater flood control center which looked like a huge building encased in a geodesic dome underwater, with a small city surounding it. The setting was very dark and gloomy, kind of like a dark sky when it rains with tall buildings at every corner. The corporation instructed me to place a certain number of explosives at key points throughout the complex. Once the explosives were set, their fuse was supposedly set to blow in 5 min, enough to get out (basicly blow up a whole city).

I forgot the reason why the whole place had to go, but I remember them saying that it was heavily defended, so I thought it was another destroy all enemies so I had to "Blow up teh stuff" biggrin.gif I remember the AC I used being a mid EO with a rifle and a blade, I forgot what it had for backmounts and extensions however.

Well, the mission begins when the sub carrying your AC (quite similar to the one in MoA) docks in the hanger and deploys me. From the dock, I worked my way through a lightly defended tunnel which remindes me of SL's final mission. What's was waiting for me at the end of that tunnel? Etal base turned city encased in a glass dome. By this time, MTs were poping up everywhere and they all look like mobile suits for some strange reason. I had to fight your way through the city to enter a huge building that had an elevator that takes you down to a long labyrinth of tunnels which lead to what looks like a huge reactor.

Remember those mobile suits? they kept on spawning on top of the reactor (which was huge BTW, the same size of the standard arena). I had to place the explosives at certain intervals IIRC when the pipes of the reactor turned from red to blue (for some strange reason, once again). Explosives were placed and the timer starts, and you had to get out. When the timer arived at 2min, the explosives went off, by this time I was still in that maze. I don't know what was going on but I already suspected that something was up. I rode on the elevator and reached the surface which caught me by surprise.

Etal base city was flooded, there were cracks on the walls of the glass dome and water was gushing in from all directions. To add to that there was an AC with a whip and a sniper rifle wating for me! Then it all made sense to me for some reason, the corporation stabes me in the back thinking that I'd go down with the city when the explosives go off prematurely. They wanted me dead because I was interfearing with the progress of their corporate sponsored raven in the arena ladder, the same raven with the whip who I was about to fight.

Not much of a fight, I spent the whole battle running towards the dock, but it was sealed shut. The AC hit me with a whip and fired off a shot from his SR when I suddenly woke up and thought it was all nexus.

I wanted to sleep but I can't, so I tried to remember it all and typed it down here. And now I still can't go back to sleep mad.gif

Pretty good, I still remember some scenes from that dream until now
