Quote:Favreau is aiming to make this his next movie, a release in the summer of 2008 now seems most likely. (7/24/06) More specifically, in conjunction with a big event at Comic Con, the studio has announced plans for a release date of May 2nd, 2008, kicking off that year's summer season. One of my favorite heroes in a comic book, can't wait

So, who's watching later? Or who has watched it already?

Guess who went?
I give it four micro-missiles out of five. I deleted my comments and possible spoilers for now, else you guys decide to rend me limb from limb. You go watch it first, much better than Ghost Rider was and more balanced than Spider-Man 3. Damn, i wanna go back for another viewing. Maybe this weekend.

Thanks for the heads up Fox!
Now I'm really hyped up about the movie. Iron Monger looks cool with the minigun on his arm on the trailer though

Lord_Leperman Wrote:Thanks for the heads up Fox! The general consensus on movie reviews sites like IMDB and rotten tomatoes is pretty positive. The latter gave it an 86% on my last check. Robert Downey Jr. played his role well, according to most of the critics. Also found out the man practices Wing Chun

IRON MAN WAS FREAKING AWESOME.
We got tickets for a 9:10PM showing at around 5:00PM. And by 7:45PM, my friends already camped outside the cinema. And then the guy at the door told them that it's more than an hour away... And then Pulse told him, "Pare, Iron Man 'to. Importante ito," I guess the door guy saw their burning passion and said that he'd just give them stamps and let them in first as soon as the door opens. TOTALLY HARDCORE. So yeah, we were able to have dinner and come back to be the first folks to go in for that particular screening. XD It was totally worth lining up though. The movie was TOTALLY TOTALLY awesome. Robert Downey Jr. was born to play Tony Stark. I guess he could relate. XD For a superhero flick, everything was pieced together really well. (the physics, especially the crash physics, were pretty BS though. Okay, totally bogus physics.) Oh and you guys'll probably see a lot of Armored Core similarities, from the suit's HUD and targeting system, weapons, to the armor itself, to output down, etc. Or maybe I'm just really a loser hahaha. Oh and be sure to watch till the end of the credits. There's a bonus scene that you just should not miss.

Iron Man is currently rated at 91% in rottentomatoes.com
That's seriously high for a superhero flick. Of course that'll simmer down a bit when all the haters come in, but it'll surely stay high nonetheless.

my families planning to watch the last full show later ... and thanks nix for the tip about the bonus scene!

All Samuel L. Jackson has to do to pwn a movie is to appear in it.

Pwned indeed. My friends and i had a hunch that there'd be something hidden in the credits (like the same hunch when we saw Daredevil) and as it happens, we were right again. Already got tickets for the second round this weekend, along wih some of my airsoft teammates.
Ahhh, War Machine... here's to hoping you show your shiny backside in the sequel... Now my only other dream movie is one for Thor, with Brad "Achilles" Pitt as the Thunder God himself and Jim Carrey as Loki!

Looks fun. I'm set on watching it as soon as there's a leak of an HD-DVD copy. Or at least the nearest cinema.
