Grim, those spots have their networks unsecured?
I didn't bother adding hotspots that are offering Globe Wiz/Globequest/Airborne Access/etc as those aren't free.
DLSU-Manila has access points pretty much everywhere except that you need a WPA password and a proxy config and a login.
Oh and the food areas (not the food court) of most Robinson's Malls offer free internet too.

Most of them do [have their networks unsecured], yeah.
Going to Fort right now, will check out other places there besides the ones Nix mentioned.

I listed Pier One, the fort there but I actually haven't been able to use that one. It just doesn't get along with my phone.
Puccini's wifi is pretty strong though and you'll be able to access it well outside their restaurant.

I used a network called T-LAN. Hurray for vague and non-descriptive network names.

At least it wasn't called plain-old "linksys"
I've come across SOOOO many unsecured networks that just use the default linksys name. >_<
(not that it's a bad thing)

Escondido, Boracay.
Oh and I was in Subic the other day and I ran into a couple of spots with wireless networks named "linksys". So it is true that some people just couldn't care less.

Either they couldn't care less or they just really dunno how to set it up.
