I didn't bother adding hotspots that are offering Globe Wiz/Globequest/Airborne Access/etc as those aren't free. DLSU-Manila has access points pretty much everywhere except that you need a WPA password and a proxy config and a login. Oh and the food areas (not the food court) of most Robinson's Malls offer free internet too. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - NiX - 04-04-2008 - Pagcor, along Sucat Road - Phinma Training Center in Tagaytay. Just ask for the WPA password. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - beastkiller - 04-06-2008 sa royal parc hotel, mocha blends, taal vista sa tagaytay RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - Grim - 04-06-2008 NiX Wrote:Grim, those spots have their networks unsecured? Most of them do [have their networks unsecured], yeah. Going to Fort right now, will check out other places there besides the ones Nix mentioned. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - NiX - 04-06-2008 I listed Pier One, the fort there but I actually haven't been able to use that one. It just doesn't get along with my phone. Puccini's wifi is pretty strong though and you'll be able to access it well outside their restaurant. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - Grim - 04-06-2008 Don't know which one belongs to them, but I'm in Roadhouse Steakhouse now and I can reach 4 networks haha RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - NiX - 04-06-2008 Which network are you using? Puccini's access point is clearly named "Puccini" hahah RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - Grim - 04-07-2008 I used a network called T-LAN. Hurray for vague and non-descriptive network names. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - NiX - 04-07-2008 At least it wasn't called plain-old "linksys" I've come across SOOOO many unsecured networks that just use the default linksys name. >_< (not that it's a bad thing) RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - maitreya - 04-08-2008 - Shop-in Stop, San Pedro, Davao City RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - Grim - 04-15-2008 Escondido, Boracay. Oh and I was in Subic the other day and I ran into a couple of spots with wireless networks named "linksys". So it is true that some people just couldn't care less. RE: Some Local Wifi Hotspots - NiX - 04-15-2008 Either they couldn't care less or they just really dunno how to set it up. |
