elf3 vs. moonlight

Something that people might learn from. This was Aiken's perspective in his tourney run in PACT, displaying some helpful movements on his style of blading which landed him on the 5/6th spot in the tournament.

Oh yeah, I added some background music XD

Since most of you guys gave me tips on my Moonlight's blade problems, you'll be happy to know that ive taken things into consideration and have once again equipped a Moonlight on my Moonlight.

Did i say that right?
I hate the way you talk to me. And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick — It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh — Even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it that you're not around. And the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you — Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

I feel blading fell off due to the fact that blade tracking was almost outright eliminated after Silent Line, albeit there are traces of it in LR, and that turned most people off because they would have to work to be good with blades, and most people (including myself lol) were too lazy to put the work in.

Those that did put the work in, like HeavenFlame from ACO, have beared the fruits of that labor.

Blade tracking is gone, like Crim here said. The removal of that feature alone would turn off most people. Blade damage has gone down too... way down. IIRC, a blade wave from the Moonlight shaved off close to 3000 AP in the PS1 days. I think you'd be lucky to get half of that out of the current blades in LR. Maybe 700-1000 AP at the most is the standard (I'm not really sure though, too lazy to fire the PS2 up XD).

Blades as a whole felt faster in the older games too, up to Silent Line even. They went out fast, dealt damage fast, and could be activated again within like half a second or less. Plus, they had substantial stun, enabling one good hit to be the beginning of the end for the enemy.

Nexus onwards has none of that, or very little to speak of it.

Supposedly with the focus on realism in the newer games From would 'balance' the power of the blades. Unfortunately, they ended up changing that aspect of the gameplay for the most part, too much for the fans of the older system to recognize. This isn't mentioning the great popularity of dual gunning, which is quick and arguably more player-friendly. In short, blading just became too difficult to pull off in a competitive setting. The risks greatly outweighed the advantages. That's why bladers are a rare breed these days.

I never tried the LB4 though, but I don't really care what blade I get, as long as I have one,I kinda like the shortest blade in the game for practice(oFf topic)

Hmm never seen or ever experienced blade tracking... started playing only in nexus so i do not know what you guys are talking about... thank goodness that i never knew what it felt like to have blade tracking or i might be a dual gunner instead of dual gunner blader...

hmmm well on about the stability thing that we were all talking about... blade aptitude and stability do make a difference... well if you want to test it... here is a simple one... try making the same AC... then equip the LB3 and Moonlight... then to quickly change the stability of the AC put on the eye3... well i did it in tests... and there is a difference damage...

I tested this as well using my Overweight Heavy Big Banana with an LB2 Blade... and compared it to my other AC Heaven Sword that was using ang LB3... hmm... almost the same damage since the LB2 and LB3 are so totally different when it comes to damage... Big Banana Stability is 10k and Heaven Sword is on the 6k or 7k i think... basically it was really low stability...
