You're nuts. It's like a kid picked up 50php and went out to buy 50php worth of snacks.

Can completely relate.

RE: What the hell are you working on? - Fox - 06-17-2013

Was worth it though. I'm still grinning until now. Happy

To be modded into a heavy support unit for urban environments.

Tried making a HGUC style shoulder joints.

Here's where I 'tried' to use the putty. There's a large space that I tried to fill, but failed. I decided to cover it instead and the result's much better than what I had originally planned.

Finally overcame my laziness, so is this salvageable? Because now I should've went with panel wash first. The paints are water based and I have plenty of alcohol.

The only paints I have.

If you're using Citadel paints, you need to water it down a bit to make sure that it goes on smoothly. You'll also need multiple coats for proper coverage. If you'll be stripping the paint from that piece, make sure that you're using 90% isopropyl alcohol or it'll take you a while to soften it. If not, brake fluid will do instead.

So I guess 99% is a bit much, well back to painting. Thankfully I'm only doing the head and the shoulders since the Alexander has a ton of panel lines especially on the crouch panel.
Update: I got some of the smears off the face mask. Maybe I can pass it off as a C.C. version.

Finished for now. Just need liquid cement for the fore arms so they will stop popping open when ever I put a hand in there. By the way, regular or extra fine cement?

VF-1 Valkyrie W.I.P

Mold line in the canopy
[Image: 8440_619487358075833_1010436909_n.jpg]

I used sand paper grit 600 to remove the mold line
[Image: 1001497_619487378075831_807409677_n.jpg]

Next, apply Tamiya compound. Use a smooth cloth and apply in order:
1. Coarse
2. Fine
3. Finish

Viola! Mold line removed.

Masking and paint. I'll just use thinner to remove the excess paint.
