A figma would be nice. Kaso kahit bootleg na figma nasa 1.6k eh.

I strongly suggest sticking with either power fists or power axes. Power swords just aren't really worth the points in 6E. If you really are keen on using one, you're better off magnetizing your weapon options instead of gluing them. It will save you a lot more time and effort in the long run.

Aside from that, I approve of the HQ choices. I have been on the receiving end of many a psychic shooting power from an RP and I can attest to its lethality. A WP leading a pack of BCs with one power fist is a nightmare I've faced many times when they get amongst my poor guardsmen.

RE: What the hell are you working on? - Fox - 01-11-2013

I did wanna try magnetizing the weapon arms but i've had no luck searching for rare-earth magnets where i live. I do have hordes of polycaps left over from my mecha plamo kits but even the smallest of them are too large to fit inside a Space Marine's torso. No choice for me but to just go the superglue route. Sad

@HellHeart
it's not gonna get scrapped. i'll just try and fit the parts onto Eika. it's the Quebley mkII and Blaze Zaku Phantom that will be scrapped to fit on the other figure.

@MS/AC girl
didn't figma release a base/naked version of their figures?
why not use this?

Zeke, those are for artists. I've thought of trying on them, pero it's a waste of cash.

I'd rather have those for posing guide, which they're for in the first place.

Qubeley mk II X Aisha
figs/kits used:
Sky Girls MMS - Aisha Krishnam
1/144 HGUC AMX 004-2 Qubeley mk II

this is my first time making a custom unit and i'm really happy (and surprised) at how this turned out. took me around six hours from conceptualizing to assembly. wasn't able to take pix during assembly and modification of parts since my camera was charging at the time.

the "wings" were a happy accident. since they were too huge to use normally (as shoulder armor) i set them aside. then later, while taking a break, i took them and playfully dismantled them. i put the upper arm by mistake on the joint that goes to the body. then i realized it sorta looked like the wings (like a cross between the ones on Wing Zero and Master Gundam.)

this uses no glue, tho the arm sleeve cover parts prolly need it (they don't snap into place.) also messed up the left "wing" thing. specifically, i slipped when i was drilling the hole in the back so the joint is on the edge -.- finally the balance for this unit is just atrocious. the upper armor where the "wings" are does not snap into place, so the weight is easily shifted to the back. unfortunately, the joints of the figure are quite lose so Aisha leans back easily.

RE: What the hell are you working on? - Hell Heart - 01-18-2013

-Thinking if you disconnect the head or neck and see how it can connect to the qubeley without removing the original qubeley body or retain most of it.

-How to connect the busou shinki arms to the qubeley torso/would need limb extentions too. Attach the busou shinki torso instead of the qubeley torso.

RE: What the hell are you working on? - zero_kanipan - 01-19-2013

the busou shinki torso is one whole piece, from the groin to under the breast area. additionally, the connection to the chest area is under the breasts. so part of the torso narrows into a oval/cone and goes into the receiving hollow of the chest area. so i don't think it's possible to retain the original Qubeley torso.

the shoulder joint of the busou shinki seems to be fixed into the chest part. so completely removing the arms to put them on the Qubeley torso is a no go. the arms can be removed tho, but it would leave around half of the upper arm.

when i work on the other figure tomorrow, i'll post pictures of the busou shinki figure. after some googling i found this:

so yeah...i don't want to go as far as dismantling the base figure like this just to swap out the arms or other limbs. plus i want the armor to be easily transferable to other figures.

Yeah, was already thinking of doing some plastic surgery already.. ahahah!

RE: What the hell are you working on? - Fox - 01-19-2013

Why do i suddenly have an idea of what to do with my old 1/144 Endless Waltz and SEED kits, not to mention that Fate Testarossa Figma that i was thinking of selling off...

Exactly. It'll finally give that old, scrapped 1/144 Deathscythe Hell Custom of mine a raison d'ĂȘtre.

Wasn't your DH a bootleg? It didn't look useable the last time I saw it.
