Session 3

Yey medyo sumisipa na ako more often so basically getting more comfortable kicking properly…
Great may reputation na naman ulit ako like before when I was practicing martial arts

We had a new comer/student

Student A: you can spar with anyone except for sifu and him *points to me*
New student: bakit? The sifu I understand but whats with “him”?
Student A *I think it’s the same guy that tried to do the leg take down to me last me and I countered instantly with a back-kick and knocked him down*: bwusit yan magaling yan and even he does get hit parang wala lng, tibay din ng bwusit na yan

Anyways now my arms a bit sore aside from my legs asides mostly the kick drills may kunting weight lifting exercises na rin sifu wants to get a “buffer”, faster and stronger I guess

Sparring Match A
Fun parts, I tried to kick he manages to catch he tries to do a takedown, I do a counter takedown/throw and send him falling on the ground and dash back a bit to give myself distance me and him and for the heck kung fu pose XD
One the other students: sarap lagyan ng caption yan ah “KO” parang sa mga fighting games
Sifu: nice counter throw but did you really have to do the pose thing at the end XD ano yan Tekken ?

Sparring Match B
Same thing student B manage to tag him two straights to his head
I charge in throw a double kick but was aiming for his arms not his chest to break his block, after manage to break his block I throw 2 right punches to his head
Student: what the hell that was 2 punches bilis nun ah

Sparring Match C;
Since for now for this sparring sifu will only count ung first hits since ung iba hindi pa sanay, one of them tried to kick, block, I tried countering with a kick para medyo ma-practice kicking ko, then he moves back, then manage to dash in, lock both his feet by moving in properly positioning my feet making sure he wont be able to escape or counter with a kick, throw first punch hitting his chest and next of the hits puro tap lng, didn’t want the hurt the guy but still needed the practice so next strikes I didn’t punch him anymore puro tap na lng, so 1 punch then 4-5 straight to certain parts of his body in quick succession

but if they real punches and 2 quick roundhouses it would kinda looked like this

what even made it scarier daw na notice ng sifu i wasn’t punching/kicking at random i kept targeting vital parts by instinct daw

knowledge of human anatomy comes in handy at times (since do character art for both 2d and 3d so go figure) :3

Sparring match D:
This time with sifu just had one quick match with sifu since pauwi na ako for the heck of it had this playing in my cellphone and plug in earphones
2 minutes per round, 2 rounds so tamang lng un length

Nothing much flashy happened this time but was fun

and for the heck of it plug in earphones covered cellphone in small towel para hindi masira cell in case matamaan
so let the music handle the rythym/pacing

except one moment sifu throws a elbow manage to block it and countered which looked something out of rock lee’s drunken fist thing, basically countered to 2blows to his rib, 1 punch to his chest to push him back and at same did front kick while my balancing on one leg, bending all the way back so yeah nagmukhang drunken fist thing XD

and for may case the usual kick drills sifu holdings a punching bag/glove hit the target though sa case ko if sifu attacks just either block it, evade it or counter same of the other students but yeah since more experienced/sanay na sifu had a special surprise sa case ko, so other students usual kick, sifu throws a simple jab para masanay sila mag block or evade

nung ako same thing thing, evade, counter, throw a kick para mag improve kicks ko sifu jabs block, then at one moment pag ka kick to hit the target the usual na may hawak siya wooden knife, so I thought he was going punch bigla na lng siya nag labas ng wooden pag ka swing ng kamay, so just reacted out of instinct, block and disarm

Student b: you know some of the counters you were looked like some of the strikes tigress does in kung fu panda…
Me: habit I guess at least i got the timing right more or less tumatama naman eh and it looks nice

and a little bit of random "chi" lessons earlier...learning to focus that "chi"

kinda reminds me the thing tsunade taught to sakura focusing chakra at single point thing...parang ganyan eh XD

And Few of them were actually bronies pala because one of them brought out a laptop with MLP:FIM wallpaper thing
