- Lord_Leperman - 11-22-2006 Incorporating most of the suggestions in this thread (not including some of the names ), including a couple of my own, the resulting AC is this: Head: CR-H05XS-EYE3 Core: CR-YC03U4 hanger Arms: A07-LEMUR Legs: CR-LH77A Booster: B03-VULTURE2 (10 heat) FCS: MONJU Generator: CR-G91 (10 output) Radiator: ANANDA (10 cooling) Inside: I05D-MEDUSA DECOY DISPENSER Extension: E06RM-GAR2 RELATION MISSILE Back Unit R: CR-WB75MT TRIPLE MISSILE Back Unit L: CR-WB73MV VERTICAL MISSILE Arm Unit R: CR-WR98L LASER RIFLE Arm Unit L: CR-WH05BP BAZOOKA Arm Unit R Hanger: WR12PU-ROC2 PULSE RIFLE Arm Unit L Hanger: NONE O01-AMINO, CR-O69ES, CR-O69SS, KISSYOH, CR-O79L+, O03-CODON, O06-PHAGE, CR-O86R+, I'm quite happy to how it turned out, it still maintains the versatility of what it originaly was with improved defense levels and an increase in the variety of weapons. The defense ratings are close to that with my PACT tourney AC, which I can say is something I'm happy about. I also added the ROC2 as a hanger weapon for its EN damage, its good shot velocity, and an overall good performance hanger weapon. 4 different weapon configurations Mode 1: Verts, relations, 98L, BP Mode 2: MT, 98L, BP Pretty general configurations. Those who've observed me in PACT will see what I mean, although its usage will be less aggresive since I'm packing an energy weapon. Mode 3: Verts, MT, ROC2, BP A more general version of the AC, this is used when I'm unsure of the enemy's capabilities. This configuration uses most of the weapons in the AC's arsenal, making it the best all-around configuration of the AC. Mode 4: Verts, MT, relations, BP More specialized, created to put a lot of pressure on the opponent by continuously bombarding it with missiles and BP rounds. It aims to create enough pressure that the opponent might eventualy screw up, and eat BZ and missile rounds. - wanzerfreak - 11-22-2006 looks almost perfect! there's just one problem..... MONJU: why? oh btw, i see you have other variants as well, kinda like my design philosphy. ) we should start our own faction, man! - Lord_Leperman - 11-22-2006 The MONJU is there for the lock speed, although I'm leaning towards the VOLUTE on this machine after a few tests, I'll find out soon which FCS to stick with though. - wanzerfreak - 11-22-2006 the f73h gives you a decent-sized lockbox with dual-sp locks. i tend to prefer flat lockboxes on a heavy because dehado tayo sa turning speed in the first place. i also discovered a cool attack pattern with the verts+rm3+bp and the 98L (yes, it is very possible to connect with all four of these). it's pretty easy. first you engage with the the 73mv+rm3+bp like you would normally. then switch to the laser rifle as fast as you can and let loose 3-5 bolts. if you can pin them on the ground for a second with the stun from the relations and the zook, (the verts also have good stun) some of the bolts might hit for even more damage and heat. even if you don't pin the opponent on the ground, the pressure is still there. the 73 mv has enough flight time that it's possible to enage with your primary while the missiles are in flight. oh btw isn't this thing overweight? my version has the nymphe, u3, and lemur, as i have suggested, plus a lot of tunes to reduce weight. - Lord_Leperman - 11-30-2006 A couple of issues sprang up after using this last week: The design is pretty drainy and could not accomodate movement and the 98L at the same time (LEMUR, U4 are the primary culprits). Also the 77A legs are slow, and I feel that the FA legs are a LOT better compared to my previous opinion about the FA being just somewhat slightly better than the 77A. These two issues contributed to its difficulty in fighting against designs such as Maitreya's Hunter which had the combination of speed and firepower, making it effective not only against tanks, but slow ACs as well. The BP + MT/MV + GAR combo didn't work as well as I expected against faster opponents. With that said, I'm currently doing a complete overhaul on the design based on the experiences that day. I'm still keeping the 77A legs, but I'm making sure that they can be interchanged with the FA in the event of a serious match up. It'll probably be a new design though, something different (or maybe radicaly different) than Project: Archer's current configuration. - Grim - 12-01-2006 <!--QuoteBegin-Lord_Leperman+Nov 30 2006, 04:21 PM--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (Lord_Leperman @ Nov 30 2006, 04:21 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> A couple of issues sprang up after using this last week: The design is pretty drainy and could not accomodate movement and the 98L at the same time (LEMUR, U4 are the primary culprits). [/quote:ec2f6d3947] Agreed on those two. I only realized just how drainy it was when I saw you playing it, thereby lessening the effectivity of the Mini-Sawa. Sabi ko sayo i-FA mo na 'to eh. ) - wanzerfreak - 12-01-2006 what really makes it drainy is the u5 and the ag. perhaps you should consider using the 84p? |
