There's a Prepare to die edition coming out (A complete Dark Souls so to speak), which includes the DLC for the consoles. The cover is actually Sir Artorias, and chances are, you'll be able to use the armor he's wearing.
Also, the new place you can visit is actually Oolacile, referenced by certain characters in the game.

You can just wait for the PS3 version. It comes out late October IIRC as both DLC and as a complete edition on disc.
EDIT: The complete edition is apparently called Artorias of The Abyss edition.

PC version has me fucken hooked. I dunno if Imma get the PS3 version, would be pretty weird though, if I decide to keep the vanilla version but then run into phantoms and stuff with new content on em. Wonder how they'll handle that :/
