It's still not clear to me whether Operators will be in their own AC or if they'll simply be flying around in Cipher-like UAVs.
Screenshots show that there'll be a limited number of "Recon Pods", which, I can only guess, either only last for a limited time, or can be destroyed, or both.

New details on AC5 thanks to Famitsu magazine. Can't understand squat though.
Based on babelfish, you can put yourself up for hire as a player that other player factions can recruit in territory wars. Missions can last from 20 minutes till an hour

In addition there will also be shorter “order” missions available, that sound more akin to a beefed up arena but with a mission based context. The latter total up to around 70 missions in all.
