RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-11-2010 Updating my WIP of the Noblesse Oblige. :3 but before anything else... ![]() Pet the cute robot doggie. XD *cough* onto the WIP: ![]() Gold Parts painted... ![]() Black parts painted with Meta Black night (Thanks to DT for that can of paint XD ) ![]() ![]() Partial assembly and prepping for the detailing. I'm planning to go with semi-gold panels instead of the standard black/gray. ^3^ ![]() Main AC detailing done. :3 ![]() Close up of the head and the core... Was kind of a pain to detail the really small bits by hand. some details were less than a millimeter in size.... >__< ![]() Back view. ![]() ![]() LOL Details. Some parts like the ankle covers had to be masked before the gold paint was applied. ![]() Size comparison with the Nineball. The paint really does make this Hogire AC look good, but I still kinda prefer the older AC designs. :3 ![]() Masking and painting the back weapons. Will post more after all the weapons are painted and detailed. ^__^v RE: What are you working on? - Fox - 01-11-2010 Loving the progress on this unit and the oh-so-gorgeous combination of white/black/gold. ![]() Hope to see this with the panel lines soon. ![]() RE: What are you working on? - Immaterial - 01-11-2010 Fox! It has gold panel lines~ XD Snooopy~ @nineball That was fast. O_____O and its not red even. XD RE: What are you working on? - Fox - 01-11-2010 The panel lines themselves are gold?!?!?! ![]() Now i would definitely call that a tough kit to build in this regard. Sweet! RE: What are you working on? - J.E_Magog - 01-11-2010 Makapangyarihan ang meaning pang naging gold na ang panel lines mo. RE: What are you working on? - NiX - 01-11-2010 Oh man that's really sexy. Mech porn! Great job, Trace. RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-12-2010 Wai~! Thanks everyone. The gold panel lines are kinda easy to do. I think it's because of the spraypaint I used that the panels turned GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLD-uh. That, or it was because of an unfortunate smelting accident.... *Cue Goldmember* ![]() RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-20-2010 Update time~! *sigh* Masking is a total pain, but at least the outcome is pretty good. All it needs now is a little detail ![]() Finished Back weapons! ![]() ![]() Uguu... My poor fingers. The entire kit is almost done. just one more weapon to paint and detail. :3 RE: What are you working on? - Lord_Leperman - 01-20-2010 Good grief! That's a whole lot of mini details painted! D: Excellent work on that kit. ![]() RE: What are you working on? - Fox - 01-20-2010 Cannons! Six lovely cannons! A! A! A! A! ![]() RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-20-2010 (01-20-2010, 07:36 AM)Fox Wrote: Cannons! Six lovely cannons! A! A! A! A! I LOL ![]() Myuu Lord_Leperdude, I actually prefer the small detailwork compared to actually painting the darn gold onto the kit. <:3 ima take close-up pics of it so you'll know what I mean. ^__^ Noblesse Oblige is finally finished! ![]() ![]() ![]() The last two pictures before I packed it up in its box. ![]() ![]() Now, It's back to the old-school ACs for me! ![]() RE: What are you working on? - Serene - 01-21-2010 ASTEEG~!!! Now those are Dual Tri-cannons! RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-21-2010 Yup! They sure are! Unfortunately, because these things are a nightmare to paint using this color scheme, I don't think I'll want to go through Noblesse Oblige anytime soon. ![]() RE: What are you working on? - isburai - 01-22-2010 sir trace, are you using tamiya masking tape? RE: What are you working on? - Trace-02 - 01-22-2010 Uhhh... isaburai, just "Trace" is fine. ![]() ...and no, I'm kinda trying to save some money so I just used the regular masking tape you can buy from National Bookstore. The brand I'm using is "Armak". Note: The lighter the type of pylox brand spraypaint you use, the easier it is for masking tape to ruin. |
